So I've been looking over the UEFA Champions League rules documents and was ultimately directed to the 'UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (2017)' document.

In my humble reading, Liverpool will be in breach of Article 11.2.b (page 14), Article 16.1, Article 16.2.b, Article 16.2.c, Article 16.2.f and Article 16.2.h (all page 17), for their attack on Man City's bus.

However, Article 23 and Article 24 (page 20) state that UEFA have absolute power over proceedings, regardless of what the stated rules say, thus giving them the right to administer whatever punishments they deem fit.

Finally, page 44 onwards list the punishments for various offences, done of which result in a competition ban. It's also interesting to note that the fines are incredibly small.

They nothing without Coutinho. Vvd wont improve them defensively. Klopp cant set up his teams to defend. 4 months later.....

Anyhow well done to the dippers. Their pacey forwards and pressing game undid city. We dont do the pressing game as much as we did 2 yrs ago. Lets hope we can smash City on Saturday as well.

Have they won anything yet?? Maybe wait until the end of the season before gloating. They could (unlikely I know) fall out the top 4 and get knocked out of the next round.

You missing the point. Have they improved with Vvd? I say yes. Are they missing Coutinho? Its apparent they not, atleast to me it is. My argument 4 months ago was they were showing ambition and bringing players in early and negotiating deals ahead of time.

Anyhow i dont wish rehash that again. The dippers supporters are going to be something else now.

I think they've got top 4 sewn up. I still think we can finish above them and up until the city vs united game i thought we can get 2nd. However United's win will give them a boost.

With Barca out im nervous... The dippers could do this.

To be honest I don’t think VVD has been that great for them. In another game that 2nd goal is rightfully alllowed, they go onto win and everyone looks back on another VVD mistake that had cost them.

Hats off to them, though, 2 great ties against city and they deserve it so no bitterness but take away those City games and who have they played that’s any good? Porto? Seville? ......

I’d also fancy us to finish above them again for the umpteenth time and while they have had a great CL run we’re 1 game away from a final ourselves (which we have a better chance of winning)

They’re doing well without Coutinho but we’ll see how that goes next season but yeah, Salah’s unbelievable form has more than compensated for that loss at the moment.

Why are you nervous? What does it matter to us what Liverpool win?

Sounds like exactly the kind of thing being said about us. Have they improved though if they finish 4th and go out of the CL in the next round. They finished 4th last year.

They might win the champions league this morning, but there is one sure thing this morning is that they don't have a mathematical chance of still winning the league this morning.
