This relatively unknown players like fekir in foreign leagues always seem more exotic. In reality I doubt he’s that much better than Zaha or Mahrez. FSG history is always to balance the books. They are losing Can for £0 , Ox probably out till new year. They’ve already spent £60m on Keita could see one more big money signing with likes of ings and other deadwood to balance books. People touting them to challenge for PL based on a cup run is ignorant and naive. Klopp style just doesn’t suit 38 games.

I heard Livers are getting £54m for reaching the CL final. That might help balance the books.

Pls note I was told the figure by a Liverpool fan so it might be wrong, he is prone to exaggeration.

I can't decide if I wanna choose to laugh at liverfool or chelscum..

But I think liverfool losing the final and throwing away the last CL spot deserves the bottling mention of the season.

If he's better than Mahrez and Zaha he's a very good player.

There's a Liverpool fan at work who's drawn up the following list.

All Liverpool have to do to get Champions League is:

Hold on to a two goal lead for 10 minutes against the worst team in the Premier League

Win a home game against the second worst team in the Premier League

Win or draw against Chelsea

Rely on Tottenham fucking it up

Win or draw against Brighton

Win the Champions League against Real Madrid

I think it's fair to say he's getting a little bit nervous... :D

Fekir is a very talented footballer. If they add him to Keita, I will be seriously worried about them. Two of the best young players of their type knocking around Europe right now.

But surely there are reasons to have doubts about Fekir fitting into Liverpool's system, should they sign him? He's not a 4-3-3 kind of player, neither winger nor one of the three CMs.

He can definitely play 433. Lyon often play 433 (and have for most of this recent winning run) He can play anywhere in a front 3, including as the striker or false 9.

Klopp may even think he can drop him into one of the lateral cm3 roles, like he did Coutinho.

The only issues would be who’s place would he take because his best two positions would be wide right or centre, and Salah and Firmino currently take those and they have been outstanding. The other issue is, is he completely compatible with Klopp’s high intensity football?

I think he’d give Klopp a genuine high quality rotational option who he could keep happy because of his positional versatility. Klopp’s football needs rotation.

Rumors/ Incomings

Dembele (Barca)
Fekir
Keita

I know rumors are just that and IMO there is no chance Dembele leaves Barca, but I want to see these type of names in our transfer rumors section.

So you don't rate Bale, or believe that players such as Martial and De Ligt are considered top prospects around Europe also.

We get linked with plenty, and as for Liverpool, I've heard all season how great they are...

Who currently sits 3rd in the table?

He sounds like the kind of player that we're crying out for.

Mahrez as in the Mahrez who was player of the year 2 seasons after joining from Le Havre? That Mahrez?

Unsure he's the best argument against Fekir.
