So yeah. His fault.

Ramos locked his arm afterwards when they started falling.

He also pushes Karius to the post afterwards.

Klopp signed Karius though. He was meant to be Mignolets replacement.

I'm pretty sure this is wrong.

Karius was only 22 when he signed, which is very young for a keeper, and he only cost £4.5m. If a Top 6/CL club like Liverpool has a problem at #1 and wants a replacement, they don't sign a 22 year old for that kind of money. They go out and buy a known-name in his late 20's or 30's. Moreover, if Karius had been signed as Mignolet's replacement, he'd have gone straight into the team, which isn't what happened - Mignolet stayed first choice initially.

No, I think Karius was basically their Pau Lopez. (And look how that turned out!) He was bought as a young #2 who would hopefully develop into a #1. Something between a punt and an investment in the future. Only, turns out Mignolet was shitter than Klopp first realised, and so Klopp ended up throwing Karius into the first team earlier than he'd planned. Then Karius started making mistakes, so Mignolet came back and did well. Then he started making mistakes again, so Karius won his place back.

That whole rigmarole took 3 years to play out, and culminated in last night's horror show. I can see Klopp's dilemma, but in hindsight two nearly good keepers don't add up to one good one, and that was a muddle Klopp got himself into. I'm sure he was aware of all this in real time, but just hoped for the best. Which didn't pan out. Sad!

Karius was signed to be number 1 and I believe Klopp even said as much, unfortunately he broke his hand in pre season which is why Mignolet stayed number 1. The reason they haven’t bought a top quality keeper is because they pay Mignolet £85k a week ? so their budget can’t stretch to a very good keeper. Like you said above it looks like Klopps thinking was 2 decent keepers will make one good one............ great is it ?

I was there too, I was 25 and am probably too old to play for Wet Spam.

TFFT (y)

I was there too, and still have nightmares every time it's mentioned. I will now go to sleep tonight seeing Archibald miss a sitter with only a few minutes to go when 1-0 up:cry::cry::cry::cry:

I was 18, and will sign for Wet Spam on 1 condition, £100k a week, guarantee starter (injured or not) for all 40 games next season, and 48 games for the following 4 (they never made Europe), and I have to be their goalkeeper.

I am hearing reports that salah had a problem with his shoulder before the game but was decided to risk it and play. Doctors are saying that much weight on his shoulders from carrying Liverpool's team the entire season was just too much. :cautious:

It all finished quite nicely. So this season in summary;

Spurs finished above Liverpool for the 8th time in 9 seasons.

Despite everything that’s been said about them this season, Liverpool finished 4th again and one point lower than last season.

They’ve won one league cup since 2006, same as us.

They really aren’t very good without their best player.

Liverpool fans were amongst those who called us legends for the last 3 seasons despite us punching above our weight every year and never being in a position to bottle. When it was suggested Liverpool bottled the final, it was met with ‘at least we got there’, which is exactly the same as a Spurs fan saying ‘at least we challenged when no one else did’. Yet we’re still legends.....

Liverpool fans caned Kane for ‘diving’ to win a penalty. Salah and Mane have both been booked for diving this season, Kane hasn’t.

Karius and Salah were amongst several Liverpool players to take the piss out of Kane over the Stoke goal. Karma is a beautiful thing.

A lot of their team showed their true colours when failing to console Karius after the match. You will walk alone, apparently.

Ex Spurs player scored worldie to win the final while another bossed the game from start to finish.

Every team has their fair share of idiotic fans but I’ve yet to see a Spurs fan on twitter hoping one of our player’s kids gets cancer after a bad game.

Fans cry thuggery when attacked by opposition fans in Europe. In the previous round, same fans set off flares and threw, amongst other things, glass bottles at Man City coach for no reason.

Van Djyk on Lamela and Kane in that game:

‘They dived to win the penalties’

Van Djyk when asked by interviewer if Roma should’ve had 2 penalties in the semi final:

‘Who cares’

Liverpool fans on social media are constantly calling us a classless club full of cheats after our game at Anfield, thus confirming their lack of self awareness, seeing as....

Gerrard - Diving. ABH.
Suarez - Diving. Biting. Racist.
Mane - Diving.
Carragher - Spitting bastard.
Heysel.
Dalglish - Allowed T-Shirts to be worn by players supporting a racist.
Fans - Verbally supporting a racist.
Karius - Shit.
Stan Boardman.
Klopp/Firminho - Teeth.
Joey Barton - born there.

We took 4 points from Liverpool this season. And we also took 4 points from Real Madrid. Therefore, we’re 8 points better than them at everything.

Offended by everything. Ashamed of nothing
