Nope. That's the BBC and Liverpool. They worship Salah. An Egyptian Muslim playing for Liverpool is near perfect for them. He just needs to come out as a lesbian and they'd be made up.

Good luck to him coming out given some of the company he's kept lately..

It's good that Salah went out with a whimper. Any kind of meaningful impact on this tournament and he probably ends up with the Balloon d'Or.

A good World Cup from Ronaldo should see him pick it up now.

Ego. Doubt he'd want to stop and not be the star. Move to an easier league maybe.

They changed the rules for that, winning the World Cup doesn't get you Balloon d'Or, only CL

I really hope not. He's an arrogant self-centred prick, and it made me very happy when the Iran keeper saved his penalty. Not least because I didn't have to see his new, 'improved' 'look at me' goal celebration.

Christ, are they financially tied in with Liverpool or something?
They dont let up at all.

The BBC's Dan Walker and Sally Nugent recently gave the game away about how LFC schmooze journalists when they revealed that they were both invited onto Liverpool's open-topped bus celebration following their CL win in 2007. (In 2007, they were both relatively unknown junior journalists, but clearly Liverpool identified them as being fast-tracked by the BBC into future positions of influence.)

With this level of media manipulation, it's no surprise that the BBC slavishly swallows whatever stories the LFC press office puts its way....

Liverpool didn't win the CL in 2007, that was the year they were beaten by Milan in the final. I think you're referring to 2005.
