When was the last time pool finished above us. Let them pay over the odds, it would be great when we finish above them again.

Klopp always finds a way to fuck it up.

When their accounts are published and it shows how much they are paying in agents fee's to get these deals done, you'll understand why we don't.

TBH If it wins them trophies and doesn't put them in the red, i wouldn't care about agents fees, I'll just be immensly witsful about what could have been.

You're right but they couldn't do what they are doing and build a shiney new home for the club that will last us decades.

Maybe not to the level they're doing this season, but I believe they wouldn't be as stagnant as ourselves. I don't believe anymore. Lessons won't be learn't because the board doesn't believe there is a lesson to learn. We'll never be competing at the top table. I'm trying to be OK with that, but it saddens me.

I think people are forgetting Liverpool(despite not winning anything for a while) are still a global giant. WE ARE NOT ON THEIR LEVEL financially. The stadium will help us get closer to terms but we will still be behind due to their incredible success back in the 80'S

That doesn't mean we couldn't do more though imo.

After watching 30 minutes of their Blackburn friendly. I can conclude Keita looks good. Fabinho looks bang average. Sturridge was hysterical bad.

We may not win the league again ever but the last three seasons we have finished 2nd, 3rd and 3rd call me old fashioned but I would say that is competing at the top table just not able to win it.

I'm guessing the cheese room is going where the trophy room would usually be

I have had doubts about Fabinho since they announced him, mainly because I'm probably unfairly comparing him with Bakayoko who has flopped so spectacularly in his first PL season.

But Sturridge being shite certainly isn't news, he hasn't been even half decent since 2015. Even if I were Cardiff I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

From what I've seen of Fabinho he looks quite gangly and his touch was masked in ligue 2. Just felt like an awkward player.

I thought Sturridge had left them on a permanent deal. Why haven't West Ham signed him yet if he's available?

He’s actually managed to get some game time. Wham will wait for him to pull up injured before starting negotiations (won’t have long to wait)

Yeah he does look very awkward. The kind of player that if he has a bad game it will look x5 worse. I’d definitely say from what I’ve seen in CL that henderson is a better footballer. But Keita looked very good tonight, much more impressed than I was before. But it was Blackburn and Lamela can look a world beater against lower league opponents. I definitely think a weakness could be discipline. Both flying into to challenges and positionally. Not sure he will be greatest at tracking back.

once in 9 seasons. they always spend more than us and they almost always finish behind us.

its almost double the previous record. I think its a bad decision. Yes their keeper had a howler in the CL finals but that happens. Llloris did the same thing in the WC final but did it with a 3 goal lead. They could have upgraded on their current keeper for far less.

Strange to think a keeper who was kept on the bench by Szczęsny could be worth £66m+

Don't blame Roma for selling

What kind of bizarre magic is this?

Leicester City have agreed a £12.5m fee with Liverpool for 25-year-old goalkeeper Danny Ward - and will meet with the Wales international in the next 24 hours. Ward is wanted by Leicester boss Claude Puel as competition for Denmark's Kasper Schmeichel, not as a replacement. (Daily Telegraph)

Before everyone goes into meltdown, do you realize that our points tally last session vs Liverpool's is greater after they signed VVD than before? Despite him making them defensively stronger?

And despite us hardly using Alderweireld in the second half of the season, which should have made us defensively weaker?

Out of interest what were the before and after tallies? And did we both play the same amount of games during that time?
