Fuck me. This is going to be horrible... I can already hear the Liverpool supporters readying themselves to tell the world...
There's one Pool fan in our footy team WhatsApp that honestly has turned the place into Rawk, he's driven half the players away already.

Have the BBC covered the Champions League too? The concussion surely needs to be brought back to topical news.

Given the relative situations of the two teams’ squads, I could hardly be looking forward to our first game at the new stadium less

This is not great right now

Would rather play them early before they’ve fully acclimatised to the prem than after they’ve settled.

Still a lot of question marks over how good all their signings will be as none are what you’d call big star players even if they have splashed big money for them.

Sure we’ll give them something to cry about

There keeping that in the wings to use as an excuse when they do not win the league again next May

I’m sitting here watching Klopp’s presser, what a bumbling wanker he literally said nothing then he asked for his team to show the fighting spirt of Rocky Balboa, a fictional character... what a plonker.

Fictional he may be, but let us not forget that Rocky's stated intention in the original film wasn't to win the fight, but to get through each round.

"Cause I was thinkin', it really don't matter if I lose this fight... 'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance."

Fun Fact: Jurgen Klopp has led his teams to six successive cup final defeats, thereby going the distance, but not actually winning anything.

Frankly, I couldn't have picked a better metaphor for Klopp if I'd tried.

Hmm kinda fitting when you think about it.

Rocky was great at going forward but his defensive work was lacking.
Head trauma exaggerated
Spent his last 20 years trying to relive his glory days

This part tickled me....

Turning back to the players at his disposal for the weekend.

'(Trent, Jordan and Dejan Lovren) are all in a different shape. Henderson is full of power but not too long back. Dejan will not be available for the weekend. We have not too big issues but we have to think 'Is it a risk, do we take it?' I'm pretty sure we will have a fantastic football team. Hopefully I will have to make a few decisions. Ragnar and Joe Gomez, we will see how they are today.'

How will we recognise them ?

The myth of their deep squad already exposed at CB. VVd their only fit CB going into West Ham game. RAWK livid with lovren as he played whole WC with a stomach injury and is now f**cked ? their squad is only deep in CM. Front and back the depth is very weak.

Strangely hoping for a West Ham win, just this one off time.

Same. Coupled with Wilshere limping off after 15 with a muscle injury so I can laugh at both teams.

I wouldn't usually wish an injury on a player. Unless it's Jack Wilshere.

Still now, thinking back to Lamela calling him a pussy makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

They’re miles ahead of us right now. In terms of acquisitions over the last 18 months and preparation for the season, it’s not even close
The two things you could always count on was them letting in some dodgy goals due to a shit keeper and them running out of steam due to lack of depth. They now have an excellent keeper and their bench today was well stocked. They will still let in dodgy goals because of the style of football they play, but they have a much better team now then they did last season. This is the first time I have genuinely been worried they will finish above us. Not quite on City's level but probably the closest to it on paper.

They do have a very easy start to the season. We could do without them being confident but there doesn’t seem too many difficult games in their opening fixtures. Then again those were the type of team to trip them up in recent seasons.
