No they're serious...I just read this from RAWK too...

'Whoever we get, doesn't matter. We're Liverpool fc. They should be worried about us.'

To be fair to them regarding Pot 2, they walloped Porto last year, beat Roma last year (destroyed them at Anfield), Dortmund were disappointing in both our group and their subsequent Europa League ties, and Napoli have lost their manager who was central to their style of play. Obviously they can't be drawn against ourselves or Utd (although I suspect they would welcome Utd if it was possible). That leaves Shakhtar who are often underestimated because nobody follows their league.

And regarding the second comment, they are head and shoulders above everyone else in Pot 3, so while some teams may not be 'worried' about Liverpool, they will be very keen to avoid them in the draw.

As is often the case with Liverpool fans, their confidence is justifiable, but its the manner in which they are so dismissive of esteemed opposition which irks and smacks of arrogance.

Personally think if they got drawn against Atletico, Shakhtar and Inter they might find that rather tough, but I'll be very surprised if they don't get through to the knockouts again.

Sadly, It's the fans' not the team that bothers most folk.

I've got 50 quid on the line with my pal for top scorer in all competitions. Kane v Salah.

He wanted to do FPL points as Salah gets more points per goal as a midfielder.

Then he asked if we could include assists in the golden boot race again.

When you combine their arrogance with their entitlement/victim culture and general bitterness and chippiness, you've got a very good reason to dislike them intensely. I'm sure not all Pool fans or Scousers in general are like that, but they do nowt to disprove or prevent the stereotyping.

They're insufferable. Every single one of them. I've seen Liverpool fans who I know posting on social media that Spurs are already out of the Champions League, Utd are already out, City 'will be ok' and Liverpool will top their group. A different Liverpool fan I work with - one who himself is a bit of an apologist for how some other Liverpool fans carry on - stated this morning without any further explanation, "We're better than PSG". When me and the West Ham fan asked rather earnestly what his basis was for that belief, he got massively defensive and started taking shots at Spurs because apparently him stating with certainty that Liverpool are better than a PSG team they haven't faced and who have some of the world's best players is no different to me saying that I think we're good enough to overcome PSV - a team from a Dutch league short of talent where no team has performed well in Europe for some time - and Inter - a team back in the UCL are 5/6 years in the wilderness and who snatched UCL qualification on the final day of last season. They're actually quite different. If I sat here bullishly predicting that we'll do Barcelona then he'd have more of a point.

I get that all fans - myself included - slightly overestimate our own team at times while slightly underestimating everyone else, but Liverpool fans are alone in world football in their belief that their team is unrivaled as the pinnacle of sporting prowess while every other team are just slightly different shades of shit from one another.
