«It is true that Liverpool did not create anything like the kind of chances they would normally do, but that was not because Klopp decided to ditch the attacking football that saw his side blow teams away on their way to last season's final.

The reason this Champions League last-16 first legwas so cagey was not down to the Reds. It was because of Bayern's defensive game plan, and how well they executed it.»

If this an «experts» analysis it’s quite crap...

They did not create anything, but they tried, but Bayern stopped them... in the end of the article he says Bayern are not good compared to former versions and that Liverpool would fancy their chances.

So Bayern are crap. Liverpool tried to be awesome like last year, but couldn’t, because Bayern were so good...

What about talking about Liverpools form??
Last year, they scored for fun. This year is all about narrow wins.

We say that Spurs have been quite lucky with a Number of games tipping in our favour, but they are maybe Even worse! Games on top of my head: Spurs, City, Everton, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Leicester and even West Ham.

Salah is good, but not great like last year.

They have won 3 in 8 after new year?

I would say Liverpool are showing a lot of cracks, both in this game and in general and they would really need to turn things around if they want to get anything from this season!

I would say Liverpool

Interested to see what Michael Oliver performs like after his appalling and questionable referring in our game with Leicester at Wembley, especially given his record reffing Liverpool matches, which is even more eye opening....

The front of Liverpool now is so predictable that top coaches must have analysed it to death. They have no real unpredictable threat from midfield like dele or eriksen. If you close the space in behind the front 3 really have nowhere to go. They only have 4 players with 6 goals or more Spurs have 7.

So basically put some money on there being a penalty in that game then?

Would explain Oliver's performance against Leicester wouldn't it...

Exactly. They play the same way every game. Surely coaches must of worked out how to stop it effectively. I think Bayern definitely did last night. They cut off the supply lines to Salah 99% of the time.

We all need to watch how Bayern did it and do our best to replicate it. If we're in touching distance of them when we head up there, I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility for us to win. Our away form is brilliant, and we should have all our big hitters back and firing,

The only big away game they’ve won all season was Vs us and debatable if that’s even away or neutral.

Keeping them out for the first half hour or so is key against them. Do that and anyone has a real chance.

They’ve become massively overrated this season.

It’s just about cutting off the supply lines and not giving the ball away to them in stupid areas by making stupid mistakes. Eg the home game this season.
