I dont mind Pep although he is very high-strung. They still are going to get the double this year but you have to believe they expected more until about 2 months ago. You can call it a collapse but being alive in all 4 competitions in mid-February is still pretty damn good.

The fine for booing the anthem was ridiculous. It's not like it's offending or disrespecting anyone, it's a completely made up anthem just for the competition with nonsensical mixed language lyrics. It basically just says something like "The best, The Champions, We are the Champions" over and over in English, French and German

You tell that to Ronaldo he sings along up the fucking thing...

They’re not getting ‘the double’, semantically that means League and FA Cup. And it does make a difference. They’re winning 2 trophies but not doing the double.

They looked pretty unbeatable last season until we beat them, then the wheels came off the wagon.

Hopefully someone knocks the wheels off early next season.

They’re out the FA cup.

I’ve said it before, I don’t think Guardiola will stay past the end of his current contract which ends after next season. The quotes here hardly sound like a man desperate to stay.

https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/f...y-boss-Pep-Guardiola-new-deal-Yaya-Toure-news

Guardiola will talk to club bosses at the end of the season and he said: “I have one more year - and next year I will be here.
“Now it’s time to finish well and then start to talk about what we have to do next season, who is staying and who we have to buy.
“I’m not finishing in two weeks or one month - I have one more year.
In football one more year is a lot and we’re going to talk to the club.”

He gets burnt out very quickly, such is the intensity he works at. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't extend though. He'll want to win some CLs with City to feel he's succeeded.

I suppose the fact that he didn't win it at Munich might add to that too.

Where does he go after City as well if he leaves them. He has to think of that.

He'll end up at PSG eventually, for sure. He may want to add Italy in to have the full set of big leagues - and I could see him wanting to conquer the home of catenaccio with his style of football.

After just watching pep on mnf it’s totally clear why he gets the results. So much charisma and presence you’re literally hanging on his every word. That’s without the tactics, fair to say city will be totally dominant while he is around. But he will be impossible to follow don’t care how much money they have.

Interestingly when asked which teams he liked to watch in this country, the first team he mentioned were tottenham....he did go on to mention others afterwards...

Surely he meant "The Harry Kane" team

I honestly probably hate them the second most out of any team. They've completely gone out and bought the league and now everybody talks like they've revolutionized the premier league or something. They have several freakin 50million backups!! I mean could you imagine if Spurs bench had Laporte, Stones, Bernardo Silva, Danilo, Gundogan, and Gabriel Jesus?! Wow how impressive they won! Sorry rant over just pisses me off what they're allowed to do. Now they want to add Jorginho and Mahrez? Fuck them.

I thought he might leave after his contract but the only sticking point is where would he go?
