I'm not disputing that. Busquets is a better DM, shielding the defence with his reading of the game, than YaYa.

My main points were that:

1) YaYa's surges were under-exploited at Barca because Pep insisted he play a very disciplined role, and his ability to make devastating runs through central midfield became a feature once he moved to Shitty under Mancini and then Pellegrini;

2) YaYa's criticism of Pep's man management skills with regard to top class experienced players echoes the criticism of Zlatan.

That doesn't mean I agree completely with YaYa or Zlatan. I suspect the truth lies somewhere in between. But I don't think Pep should be put on some pedestal where he cannot be questioned at all. No one is infallible. Not the Pope, nor POTUS, nor Pep.

But not many people are doing that; it's fine to question him but to accuse him of 'having a problem with Africans' when he has managed Keita and Eto'o for example, is quite insulting and has no foundation. Zlatan isn't African. What he appears to share in common with Yaya is a huge ego which is not a problem in a lot of sports and in some football teams but not in Guardiola's team. He's the boss. If you don't like his way of managing, leave. But to imply, or effectively say that he is racist with no evidence, is quite shameful and pathetic.

But to the advantage of the team.

Probably.

But Pep pursued & bought Zlatan for c£59 million plus Samuel Eto'o, and then shipped him out after just one season to Milan, for a fee of 24 million Euros plus possibly a loan fee. (The figures are taken from Zlatan's wiki.)

Once Messi told Pep he wanted to play centrally, Pep found no way to accommodate Zlatan into his system. And this was Zlatan in his pomp.

I'm not saying Pep is a bad coach. That would be ridiculous. But he has his methods and his demands. I'm sure we've all heard Thierry Henry explaining how Pep told him to stay out wide or he would drop him. Henry could play as a wide striker. Zlatan couldn't.

YaYa was a good player in a great Barca team. But ultimately Busquets was a better shield, passing the ball quickly and simply to Xavi and Iniesta in that team, and YaYa was sold.

We only saw Full YaYa, with those incredible surging runs through central midfield, once he went to Shitty, and coaches like Mancini and Pellegrini who created a team system that allowed him to play like that.

I also don't know why YaYa stayed at Shitty once Pep became coach. He effectively wasted what were probably his last two years as a top player, and he's probably bitter at Pep for not playing him more.

Of course that doesn't excuse his calling Pep a racist, which is just ego-fuelled tosh.

I don't necessarily disagree other than the bolded part which could be more down to Yaya losing fitness rather than Pep edging him out.

But in any respect, it's about the team not the player. If the team excels without those players, then Pep has done his job. His job is/was to make City, Barca or Bayern a success not to make individual players all fit into the same system for their own benefit. They're big boys (get your gifs ready), they will find work elsewhere.

He also bought Alex Song from Arsenal, it's just totally baseless and without foundation to call Pep a racist, sour grapes from Toure and shows up his character more than Pep's.

I could imagine Yaya and his agent coming to Spurs with a one pound a week offer. Levy would try his best for it to be 70 pence a week with a release clause of 15m pounds

oops:

Raheem Sterling fears World Cup performances could cost him improved contract at Man City

Raheem Sterling fears his chances of earning a new deal at Manchester City which would see him become one of the highest paid players in the Premier League have receded following his performances at the World Cup this summer.

Sterling’s advisors began discussions with City officials at the end of last season but decided to continue talks once the tournament in Russia had finished with the hope that an electric showing from the 24 year-old would give them leverage to push his weekly pay packet from £170,000 into the region of £250,000.

They believe he should be one of the top earners at the club alongside striker Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne , the Belgian international.

Some agents and players clearly have a very high opinion of themselves. Same as De Bruyne? Ok Raheem.... whatever you say mate.

Joe Hart has moved to Burnley for £3.5m :wideyed:.

As exciting opportunity for Joe who now has the challenge of competing with Anders Lindegaard and Adam Legzdins to become the 3rd choice GK at the Clarets :nailbiting:.

Meanwhile somewhere in Qatar someone has just bought a solid gold toilet in order to replace the previous solid gold toilet that was ruined when somebody pooed in it :meh:.
