They'll struggle to replace Collymore, I'd like to see him on MNF.

Jim Proudfoot should do more TV games.

The Breakfast Show is awful now, Alan Brazil should have been released years ago. He can barely string a coherent sentence together, it's embarrassing to listen to.

At least Clips of the Week is still quality and I still enjoy the golf reports from the American with the great voice. Bob something...
Struggle to replace Collymore's constant criticism for us and our players? Always backhandedly belittling our accomplishments? Just hire an ex-Gooner, they'll have no problems replacing that.

I always thought Collymore was very fair with us on the whole,

he even brought up the integrity of the league

when managers and teams were rolling over for Leicester and wanting to beat us.

It never came across as an agenda to me, just criticism.

I like him and his style, he developed very well as a radio host and co commentator and there aren't many that can replicate it or improve on what he did IMO.

Collymore would be ok if he could shut up for five seconds and let someone speak.

This, all over. The easiest way would've been to not tell him what each caller was phoning up for as it was clear he would answer the phone, tell the caller what they'd called for, spend five minutes giving his opinion (for the fiftieth time on the same subject), let the caller repeat what Stan has just told him he was planning on saying, then cuts them off after a matter of seconds with a "thanks for the call*" and off he goes again, talking at an Olympic speed.

Collymore is the biggest tosspot ever! And hasn't got a clue about football. Useless c**t.

Him and saggers actually had an hour long phone in in which they spent the whole time praising how well the club was run, midway through the season

Well they changed their tune quickly, I remember last summer they had an anti-Levy special....

Hopefully Durham and Gough are next for the chop.
Durham won't go anywhere...he trolls the thickos brilliantly and gets plenty of bites.
I've never understood Goughy really though, the vast majority of their stuff is football based and I don't personally value the opinion of a long retired cricketer on footballing matters....I'd happily see him gone.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I have always found Collymore pretty reasonable towards us. Ok, he's not showing the love like Micky Quinn does towards Liverpool but I have always found him objective.

Any presenter wants lots of tweets, texts, emails and phone calls into their show and Durham is a past master at winding up listeners into doing it.

I really struggle to understand how a national radio station with a few million listeners, continues to employ people who are incredibly thick and can't articulate. the skill of being on the radio is to have a broad vocabulary so you can stimulate a cohesive debate. Parlour, Gough, Quinn and Brazil are bordering on being retarded and cannot articulate enough to create debate or force through opinion. Brazil loves talking about himself, which considering he's done fuck all for 30 years other than get painfully pissed is rather tedious

No chance. It's a commercial radio station and Durham is an expert at winding up people so that although they probably find him deeply irritating, they'll listen in large numbers. His 'expert' opinion this afternoon is that Leicester will get relegated this season.

What always makes me laugh the most about Stan's call in show is the opening theme - it's a soundbite of an old Liverpool game (which isn't a great choice considering his best years were quite clearly in a Forest shirt), and considering it's a show about him, the fact it is describing what is clearly a superb bit of play by John Barnes, it sounds like his most glorious moment was poaching a tap in. He gets mentioned once, right at the end of the sound clip, the dude says Barnes about half a dozen times.

SURELY there has to be a better moment in a Forest shirt he could've used?
