I used to love it so much that I watched it at 1pm and 5.30pm.

Ha Ha - me too...at uni I watched it twice a day monday to friday for 4 years. We use to fill the gap in between with Home and Away, Quincy/Ironside/Diagnosis Murder, then countdown, then back onto to Neighbours and Home and Away...

I always said if I ever went on Mastermind, my specialist subject would be Neighbours from 1988 through to 1998.

...err anyway...probably not the thread for this :cautious:

It is a bit but yeah, Home and Away and Neighbours were class back then. Great characters and great story lines. I remember that certainly Neighbours was about a year ahead in story lines.

Toadfish is still in it i think, i know Jason Donovan was a DJ on Heart i think, or Magic. One of those.

The doctor from neighbours pops up on a lot of things too, think he's a guitarist in some band.

I always remember Joe Mangle from Neighbours, always on the box, he'd turn up to an opening of an envelope that one.

The Oliver Reed thing was a bit shit in hindsight - the guy was a raging, maybe the ragingest, alcoholic on the planet at the time, they probably shaved a month off of his already depleted life span.

I remember L7 playing and the bass player dropping her dungarees to play most of the song with her furry friend out, Mark Lamarr didn't want to be there more than fly in the air, which made him presenting the show absolutely hilarious because he simply didn't care, but it was all about Katie Puckrik for me, she was proper weird boner material for a teenage RSS
I never understood why Oliver Reed played up to his reputation so much. The tabloids and the talk shows expected him to do something outrageous and he almost always gave them what they wanted.

The Word had some ace bands on. Sepultura, RATM, Faith no More, Gravediggaz, Nirvana I think.

Just don't call her love
That was awkward the other day. She dumps the caller then the guys in the studio and the next caller say it wasn’t so bad and forget to talk about the subject they rang up about. Better than JW but then dead air space would be.
