Dean Saunders thinks we should sign Wayne Rooney as Son isnt good enough as a backup striker.

He also came out with this belter 'If you look at the league table, Spurs are obviously the 4th best right now....'

No-one corrected him.

It's almost time for the weekend to kick in. I'll have what Dean Saunders having

This is where Talksport entertains me - Moose wandering around interviewing random fans in Russia

"You're from Panama, DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH?"
"no."

"Panama fans! You were rubbish!"
*passionate and well spoken Panama fan sings up the effort*
"Yeah, whatever - started and finished on the same day!"

"France! Le Blues! What do you think of France's chance of winning the World Cup?"
"I have traveled from Lyon"
"Yeah, thanks, so how are France going to do?"
"I have traveled from Lyon"

He's such a cock :ROFLMAO:

Always sounds odd when they get Big Sam on the breakfast show and refer to him as an 'ex England manager'. He was only in the job for two months.

They are really trying to drum up the phone calls in the quiet summer weeks, but they still said we had a great first 11 but our squad was paper thin, which i feel isn't out of order, We was all lead to believe we'd be doing business early but we just haven't.

We all know the benefits of getting players in early but we still failed to do so every single summer and you cant help but argue that method hasn't paid dividends for us (yes we are million times better than 10 years ago) but their arguement was we was on the edge of glory but we always dont seem to grab it by the balls.

on a lighter note... How good is it to have Natalie Sawyer on Drive? love her

Actually think knocks to our depth are pretty harsh, it's a lot better than the almighty Liverpool's was last season, and arguably still now in terms of numbers of useable players. We had some long term injuries to Rose, Lamela, Wanyama, Winks and Alderweireld and coped fine.

Media just get carried away with money spent and the importance of transfers. Best to see where we stand on the 10th before completely slating our policy, especially as they themselves said we are only 1 or 2 away from really competing, what if that actually happens this summer?

My favourite female sports presenter after Georgie Bingham. She has a very natural presenting style, which you don't get from many women discussing sport on the radio/TV.

Not sexist, fact.

I think if we do sign 2 quality players then yes, well done..but the fact is they wont have a per-season under their belts, which many has said will be beneficial to the likes of Moura, Llorente and even Sanchez (who was quality btw to buck the trend!)

so time will tell, Poch has said he doesnt like signing players late, like most managers

Not a fan of Georgie Bingham in the slightest. Always strikes me as a female Adrian Durham. I remember two summers ago her claiming as fact that "we know if someone offers the right money for Harry Kane that Daniel Levy will take it", which was bollocks then and is bollocks now. She fell into a bit of a Twitter spat with other Ipswich fans a few months ago where she showed herself to be completely out of sync with much of their fanbase, despite being an Ipswich fan herself.

Kelly Cates is far superior in my (uneducated) opinion.

I'm pretty sure that one of our top ITKs (I think @Trix, but I'm sure he'll correct me if not) said the same. Levy loves a bit of moneyball methodology and back then the thought may have crossed his mind...

Darren Lewis is hosting the Sports bar tonight and is opening up with Spurs, it’ll be interesting to see if he has any insight into our transfer business that may tie in with some ITK

Nothing interesting, they ended the segment with who's better Poch of Klopp and he ended up getting a bunch of pool fans phone in
