There was one in spurs chat unfortunately.
Yeah I remember that. Thank god it fell away out of sight hopefully never to reappear.

Now. What's the deal with Rvp? My fantasy football thingys reporting him injured, that'll be a blow to the opening of the season for them

They beat Liverpool 3-1 last night, looks like they won't have a problem scoring goals...the defence is weak though.

Lots of media raving about how van Gaal is now getting the best out of Rooney.
One thing they seem to have forgotten is that he's currently occupying the position that Van Persie will take when he returns, and then we will start to see the same old Rooney again.

He is playing 352, so room for Rooney and RVP

Rooney is quality I'm always confused when people don't rate him. He is reportedly a good trainer too so I bet LVG loves him.

Not checked his odds for golden boot this year but well worth a punt.

They won't have another season like last year again they've got too much quality for that... but, (in typical Keegan style) "I would love it" if they failed again after having years of their fake fans saying "Typical Spurs, sacking managers after less than a season why can't they be as loyal as we are". Oh how I laughed when they were all calling for Moyes' head by December. Just goes to show that all fans are fickle and if anything I'd say that we're less fickle than most others as we're generally used to high expectations followed by crushing realism.

Also think that LVG is just a dutch version of Arry trying to take any personal credit for everything.
  • Last 16 against Mexico he gets all the credit for bringing on Huntelar who scored the winner (nothing about them being 1-0 down untill the 88th min and the winning goal being a penalty after a shocking dive that I'm pretty sure any of the players would have scored)
  • Quarters Dutch win on pens and it's all about his genius of subbing Krul on with 1min to go (nothing about how they failed to break down Costa Rica in 120 mins)
  • Semis They lose to Argentina after another 120 mins without any goals and what does he say... "I taught Romero how to stop penalties" :banghead:

From what I've seen they still haven't addressed thier problems at the back and letting their best defender go (Vidic) could come back to haunt them.

The last two season he has been good but not the quality he has been previously, theres been a clear dip

As for good trainero_O:unsure:o_O

He turned up FAT for preseason two years ago and it was clear after his preseason match, all wasn't right and a couple weeks later they signed RVP and it was clear he was signed to replace him not to play with him. Fergie was pissed with him

His old fitness coach said that the he didn't look after himself and was a great trainer like Ronaldo. He also said Ronaldo would train a lot more than Rooney who didn't like the gym and said he came to play football

Fair enough. Although he always struck me as the "Ricky Hatton" type who off season didn't give 2 shits but when it's go time he works hard. Could be wrong though.

I think this season will be highly entertaining as there are 5 teams vying for 4 CL places.
One of them has to miss out and it will result in their fans having a meltdown.

Historically the top 4 has fitted in nicely with the CL cartel but not anymore.
I think the smart money is on either Liverpool not being able to reproduce last seasons form or United being the proverbial turd that cannot be polished by LVG.
Either way we are under no pressure and can just relax and enjoy the season knowing that if we can improve on the pitch we will pile even more pressure on these teams.

I don't think you can say they have too much quality. In the PL atm Chelsea have too much quality and Citeh are the only ones to have 2 genuine world beaters in Toure and Aguero(when fit)

I think it will break down in to this next season

Man City 1st-2nd
Chelsea 1st-2nd

Arsenal 3rd-5th
Man Utd 3rd-6th
Liverpool 3rd-6th
Tottenham 3rd-7th
Everton 4th-7th

Unless they strengthen at centre back and right back before the end of the window they won't finish top 4
