Ahh West Ham fans they never stop. Cheered when Fat Frank broke his leg, sang about Defoe's deaths in the family, sang shitty songs about the great Bill Nic on his death, lots of anti semitic chants. Of course it's always somebody else's fault and they're just being cheeky chappies

I'm not sure exactly what the bloke said but that doesn't sound very likely to me. Livermore wouldn't have reacted in the way he did if he just randomly heard the word "kid" in isolation, he must've heard a full sentence etc. about his kid being dead, and no sentences like that that I can think of would make any sense if you replace it with Livermore's "yid" being dead.

I’ve been finding it difficult to see what context yid could be misinterpreted as kid to send him off like that.

There were stewards closer to the “fan” than Livermore who must have heard him clearly and I expect that the investigation will bring this out.

Whether we get to learn the truth though is another matter.

Yeah that's also a point. By all accounts he was removed from the ground right away so the stewards must surely have heard something clear cut to do that I'd have thought.
