Unlike Gary Lineker in the 1991 FA Cup Semi-final, Pellegrini is clearly using them by using them. So is he

A: using them for cash
B: using them to get more cash out of another club
C: using them for cash in the hope of getting sacked and then getting more cash out of another club

What's the highest position he can achieve next season? I'd say 7th. So they made him the third highest paid manager for 7th place.

Ive always Pelegrini looks like a man who is dangerously close to death, he just doesnt look a well man.

Looked dead final season with Manchester City. Strikes me as a man who goes quiet when things doesn't go his way.

3yr contract.. gone in half that. How much is he going to be allowed to spend? their squad is mostly rubbish.

According to Sky they are appointing a D of F who’s mates with pellegrini. That has to help. Unless there’s no money for him.

SSN also said that they wanted Benitez but didn’t want to pay the £6 million that it would cost to get him. So they went for their second choice.

I think he might struggle attracting players. Just having a look through Pellegrini's signings at City and Madrid, and he's hardly been one to unearth any gems. All the players who turned out to be decent signings were already pretty established and bought for huge fees, and not the type of player he'd be able to sign at West Ham.

Unless they're throwing money at transfer fee's and wages, I can imagine it'll be another set of 30+ year-old's who he'll be signing.

If they really start to throw money around we could get another Leeds and they go bust (wishful thinking) and/or they get aload of crap older players then they get relegated go bust and do a Leeds
I think you call that a WIN WIN

My mate's going off on one about how he "did wonders" at City by winning the league with them (when they were favourites, no less), and about how this could mean they get Yaya Toure on a free, and that he'll "boss the midfield". Jesus wept, the guy can't/won't even run anymore

£5.5m per year apparently, so i guess that £10m per year stuff was all bollocks.

To be fair Pellegrini has a very solid record. You never know how an appointment will work out, but they've gone and got someone with the best managerial pedigree a mid-level club could get.
