Let's All Laugh At... Let's All Laugh At West Ham

Patrice Evra is leaving West Ham, as his £75k per week contract is sadly not being renewed. So how will West Ham fans remember him? With fondness? Err, not quite...

"Another in a long line of useless players that is well past it and completely rinsed the club. He stole a living whilst playing for us."

"Goodbye Patrice. You done absolutely nothing at this club and just act like a plonker on Twitter."

"(Formerly) a huge name in football. Joined for one last hooray. Did nothing of note. File under Davor Suker."

And my particular favourite

"Made more money in twelve weeks using Instagram and repeatedly shouting four words than most of us will make in a lifetime. Let that sink in."

However, I think it's unfair to say that Evra did nothing. He did notch up one special achievement which, I believe, deserves recognition on these pages and causes me a pang of grief that he won't be there next season, namely:

"Apparently every game that he started for us, we lost 4-1"

(y)

:ROFLMAO:

Well worth the million or so they spent on his wages. Au revoir, Patrice, and thanks for your efforts. Much appreciated.

Just heard Tony Gale on ssn and he said west ham should be spending 75m-100m this summer and need to spend top money to get top players. What is it with west ham fuckers who think they can get top players? They're fucking shit.

Reminded me of this classic someone posted on here previously! ???

And West Ham news are saying he’s spot on? Please tell me they’re being sarcastic? ???

Genuinely curious as to why anyone (never mind Pellegrini. I really mean anyone. Even someone who has spent a lifetime on the skag) would think the bloke on the left is someone they want to work for. Look at the state of him ffs.

Agree. Looks like the kind of bloke who hangs around petrol stations trying to sell knocked-off speakers out the back of a van.

Well this is going well...

1. Appoint a manager. Check.

2. Appoint recruitment team. Ah. Slight problem...

"West Ham could face a power struggle with Manuel Pellegrini just days after naming him as their new manager over his choice to become the new head of recruitment (Mario Husillos)."

And why might that be?

"SunSport have learnt there are doubts among the Hammers' top brass about the transfer fixer’s recent record, and how it would look to the fans ahead of an important season."

Hmm. And why that be?

"The Argentine was brought back to Malaga in a bid to help them beat relegation from La Liga last October. He was given the January transfer window to turn the club’s fortunes around. Husillos signed eight players who all failed to make an impact at La Rosaleda, finishing rock bottom and were down with eight games to play."

Sounds the ideal candidate to me. (y)

So West Ham either support their well-respected manager and bring in a guy whose last job ended in disaster for the club who appointed him.

Or they undermine their manager less than a week into his appointment, ideally pissing him off so much he walks.

And we're still only in May.

I bloody love this time of year.

His job can't be that hard. There's not that many 40 year old players to chose from.

So they've stumbled at hurdle 2 of Tony Gale's 'back of a fag packet' plan for world domination?
Lovely stuff.

It’s starting...

I had the first ‘top 6 is realistic next season’ chat from a West Ham friend yesterday.
Other gems such as ‘Pellegrini will attract elite level players, the atmosphere will change at the ground with this appointment’ we’re trotted out too.

Bless
