Wow. Gold kept digging as well.

I think we all have to except [sic] that it is extremely unlikely that a teenager will break into a PL team full of seasoned international [sic].

‘Playing teenagers doesn’t guarantee success. Hull came fifth (in number of youngsters played) and got relegated. Chelsea came last and won the league.

‘Sam (Allardyce) played the teenagers at Nottingham Forest (in 2014) and we got beat 5-0.

‘Teenagers gain experience by going out on loan to the first (or) second division and the Championship.’

Except (!) then their path is blocked by a 'seasoned international' like Zaza, Tore, Feghouli, Masuaku and Calleri (both used as examples in the replies to 'dg'), who all underperformed for WH. Ayew who managed to hit the post twice from a yard out. Snodgrass who they bought. And WH have the cheek to call themselves 'the academy of football'.

Generally this is the issue with football and whilst the stats support him his types won't accept that it's not the correct approach.

Him implying that the reason Hull got relegated was because they played kids and the reason Chelsea won the league is because they didn't suggests he doesn't understand the difference between the 2 clubs in terms of wages and money invested in players. This is probably why he thinks West Ham will challenge for CL spots if they sign a 30m striker. Basically he is incredibly naive and doesn't truly understand West Hams position in the league hierarchy.

The price of the player translates to league positions if that player is Hazard or Costa. It doesn't if that 30m is Zaza for 5m loan and the rest tied up in a permanent deal even before he's kicked a ball, which Jack Sullivan then boasts about and insists it shows ambition. It shows stupidity. And it is reflected in their league position.

As it is, they are showing themselves as a club for journeyman players looking for a fat pay cheque and not a club that will nurture local talent.

How shit must it be being a West Ham fan. They got absolutely nothing going for them and pretty much every aspect of their club's a joke.

@WestHamUtd

It might not match his Argentina call-up, but it's still a notable achievement!
