Would be a perfect Manager for them but I can’t see him taking the job without cast iron guarantees on player purchases. Without those guarantees he may as well stay at the barcodes and continue to be stitched up by them rather than the spammers.
He knows what to expect up there and the fans love him. As things stand, I'm struggling to see what difference he could make to West Ham unless Gold and Sullivan decide to start really splashing the cash.

Yep. It makes absolutely no sense for Benitez to go there. He’s a good manager and should be at a club a level above Newcastle and West Ham. If Chelsea hadn’t already had him I think he’d be good there or arsenal but for some reason his name has fallen out of fashion. Maybe he needs a better agent.

Ian Abrahams on TalkSport (ref. Benitez possibly going to West Ham) is trying to suggest that West Ham are bigger than Newcastle because they are in London and they have won trophies more recently. Well, being in London might make them a bigger draw but not a 'bigger club' and yeah, they have won trophies more recently but 'more recently' is pretty humourous as neither club have won anything for donkey's.

B b b but Newcastle won the Intertoto Cup in 2006 !

Well West Ham did get a second in the UEFA fair play award in 2015 and got into the Europa League (temporarily)
It's all starting to come out now - I hope that West Ham are claiming this as a trophy to go alongside their world cup win.

Massive surgery needed at Wet Spam, and Benitez, who is a top class coach and manager would be a good fit, but it will take at least 2 seasons to get them in the top 8. Trouble is lose a few games as the team adjusts and the knuckle draggers will start kicking off again and abusing him personally with various expletives that start with "Fat Spanish" xxxx

You forgot the bit where he added the World Cup to West Ham's achievements ?. Love it.

Yeah, I heard him mention it on Jim White's show. Must have been tongue in cheek. Tell me it was tongue in cheek please!

Benitez is a terrific manager but can't agree that he would be 'a good fit' for West Ham. His intelligence and personality means he'd clash straight away with the cowboys who run that club, and West Ham's fans would moan about the style of football even though its exactly what they need in order to stabilise the team and make the OS a difficult place for away teams to go to.

I'm sure Benitez himself is aware of all this and will stay at Newcastle where, despite no transfer funds, he is massively appreciated by both the owner and the fans. In the unlikely event that he did go to West Ham I think he'd clash with everybody there within a few months and walk out before the end of the season.

Benitez is one of the few managers who "gets" Newcastle as a club, but more importantly as a town. He is idolised up there.

At Newcastle, Rafael Benitez’s generosity with his time and money for the club’s various charity initiatives has become famous in the city. His attendance at the Foundation dinner helped to raise a record total of £53,000, but the best story comes from May 2016, when he signed his permanent contract.

Rather than leaving the stadium, Benitez instead walked through the corridors to the Heroes Club hospitality suite. The Newcastle United Disabled Supporters Association were having their end of season dinner, and Benitez wanted to have his photograph taken with every fan. No Premier League manager understands the power of community goodwill like Benitez. The knock-on effect of that is seen at St James’ Park and in the manager’s popularity. Even amidst a difficult political environment, he has created unity.

I can't see him swapping St James park for the Inland Revenue stadium.

I dunno, Its West Ham

If they follow with their recent form on transfers they will start by talking to good managers like Benitez and the like and in two months their OS will have Tim Sherwood on the front page

who would want to go there?

Hopefully Tim Sherwood. And only Tim Sherwood.

He is such a perfect fit for them, almost too perfect.

And it would be absolutely hilarious for everyone else. It's a win-win.
