Oh dear

In other news, I was looking over WH's league finishes over the last 25 years or so; it's actually pretty appalling

Especially when you consider how entitled their fans seem to be

And as for them seeing us as rivals, they hardly ever finish above us; I think it was once in the last 19 years or so

Don't forget Manager has a go at fans...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45284819
"West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has urged the club's fans not to leave games early and get behind the team.
Many left during the club's 2-1 Premier League defeat by Bournemouth at London Stadium on Saturday.

That followed a 4-0 loss at Liverpool on the opening day, but Pellegrini, who took charge in the summer, said "the players need everybody together".

"I perfectly understand if you are losing 4-1 or 5-1, maybe you leave early, but losing 2-1?" he said."

A fair amount of their season ticket holders aren't even west ham fans, they're fans of other teams who decided to buy a ST because it was so cheap, £300 cheap, and it's not often you get to see PL games in London at that price. These will be the people who are leaving early, why would they stay if they don't even support the team?

But if they don't support West Ham why would they they want to leave just because they're losing? Wouldn't they be more likely to stay in case there's more goals by either side?

Plus the points difference in many of those seasons is staggering.

25pts to 40pts behind us is not uncommon.

98 to 02 was their best (and only) decent period, when they had the likes of Lampard, Ferdinand, Cole, Di Canio, etc.

But they haven't done ANY groundwork to get them anywhere near challenging for the top 8 consistently, let alone top 4

Tottenham's attempts to woo the American market have involved pre-season glamour friendlies, a NFL tie-in, several commercial deals, a giant Gareth Bale billboard in Times Square and a couple of player purchases.

West Ham's attempt is a 90-second video of James Corden with Men in Blazers advising Americans to support West Ham because 'winning all the time is boring' and 'no season will be mediocre' as West Ham veer from the 'edge of Europa League glory' to 'fighting relegation'.

Oh no. Danny's plans for American domination are about to go up in smoke. KUMB will be full of posters called Yankhammer or Fortworthiron or some such and the NFL will ditch Tottenham's new ground for the OS. Who will save us? :nailbiting:

Well, two groups of people, actually.

Those who have met West Ham supporters.

And, err, those who are West Ham supporters.

Oh well. Guess they'll have to stick to Brentwood over Hollywood for now.

More important places to be I guess. If you're not a fan if either team playing you'll be less bothered about what the final score will be and you also probably want to beat the rush home, the latter probably being the main reason.

I have a very good friend who's never been interested in footie, never played and never supported a team, but got a season ticket because it was so cheap. He hardly ever goes and always leaves early, I'd would imagine there are a lot of season ticket holders like this

It may have been a grand idea to fritter away €300 for a ticket (or double that for a brace) and then be able to
cherry pick those fixtures with the CL class and Sky luvvie clubs in a shiny 'stadium' but the reality of it all is such a downer : - The neanderthal fans, the travel from station to ground in a post apocalyptic wasteland and those darn bubbles floating across the arena.

Nope they had a big bust up on kumb about it. Many of their fans just are sick of it and want to get away early to miss the crush. The irony is if they'd have waited till the end they'd have missed the rush.

That's true. I guess the only way we'll be able to tell if people are leaving early just to avoid the rush, or because they're disappointed with the performance is to wait until West Ham win and then see what the crowd is like at the final whistle.....we may be waiting a long time.

I still haven’t been to the Olympic stadium. Half of me wants to go to enjoy how bad the whole match going experience is, but the other half doesn’t want to go thereby giving their owners any money or to a game they might win.

Arsenal maybe a laughing stock right now, but they are commercially quite astute and there is no way they would let Wilshire go off on a free if they though he had anything to offer when you consider the shite they have in their midfield. The guy is broken and with absolutely no chance of recovery.

Roy Keane is spot on in his assessment by saying he's the most over rated / over hyped player he can ever remember and it pisses me off when all the so call Talk Sport experts refer to him as "Jack" with a few games will be the first name of Southgate's team sheet, when in reality he's completely fucked.
