Btw, further to my post above, December looks like a huge month for them.

6 or 7 games where they'd be expected to rack up the points. Come January 1st 2019, we'll have a good indication of where they'll be playing their football next season.

The London Stadium going tits up might change that.

Tbf, they should have gone out and snapped up the likes of Maddison and Grealish; build an English (or UK) core and go from there

if it had mentioned that his ticket never ever arrived, and was lucky enough to get a replacement, it might be believable, but the stamp on the envelope (01/09/2018), the date on the postmans delivery note (30/8/2018), are all after the date of the fixture

I'm not sure it would, assuming it's the landlords who are in trouble - the issue seems to be that they can't secure a naming rights deal, but that doesn't affect WHUFC's finances directly. Even if the stadium ended up in the hands of receivers, they would still have to honour West Ham's rights as lead tenants to stage football matches there.
