I don’t think Dele thought/meant to be racist. Where as Cavani deliberately used a word that is racist. Whether friendly or not.
I think both were a bit ignorant.

I, personally, found what Alli did was worse. He did it in person to an unsuspecting bystander.

A learning experience for both and deserving of equal punishment in my view.

Dele isn’t a moron and from a part of England with a relatively large SE Asian population so He absolutely knows better.

He is too clever for use of the stupidity/ignorance defence to pass the smell test.

Funny thing football. United the better team in 2nd half and suddenly it’s heaven and hell

It seems Ole can turn a game but can't motivate them to start playing from the first whistle.

That and they're scarily reliant on Fernandes.

He can turn a game cause he has options from the bench.

Give him WHs options and a bad first half is irreversible

I don't think it's that simple, although it is part of it. Ferguson often spoke of Solskjær as having the best tactical mind of any player he worked with, how he analysed games from the bench in far greater detail than his teammates and was ready to make an instant impact when he came on.

I think part of Solskjær's struggles is that he needs the game to start before he knows how he needs his team to set up, which is a damning indictment of their opposition scouts and match planning but I think that is part of it.

And it helps to have good players to throw on, of course it does. And the players clearly like Ole so they will put in an effort when it's going wrong, which helps.

i recall having a bet with a liverpool supporting mate about 15 years ago when i could see the writing on the wall with them. solid top 4 up to that point but winning games on belief and the opposition giving them too much respect. I can see the same with man utd now. Of course they they have the financial clout to turn it around but otherwise they've 10 years of slow building and the positive results nowmask the rebuilding they need.
