You say Someone but Who? I can’t see it, and he wouldn’t go and give up on that weekly lottery win

This. There's only 5-6 clubs in the world (excluding Chinese/Arab/MLS clubs etc.) who pay those sort of wages full stop, and even fewer who would pay that to a fullback. Given that he's already at one of them, and another one is their cross-city rival, and probably 2 of the rest are direct competition with Man Utd for Top 4 spots, that leaves him with probably Real Madrid, Barcelona and at a push Juve, but I can't see why any of them would want to go in for Luke Shaw at the price Utd will want and certainly can't see them making him one of their top earners. Unless he's prepared to take a huge paycut and Utd are prepared to let him go for cheap, he won't be going anywhere any time soon

I didn’t see such provocation from the Chelsea guy to warrant Moureen’s apoplectic reaction. He celebrated a goal and ran into Manu area, but I didn’t notice any goading which is what is now alleged. Certainly Moreen’s reaction was over the top

What Ianni did was right out of the Mourinho playbook. At least the whole soap opera was over that same evening.

We're now back to how he doesn't have good enough players. They've spent an absolute fortune on defenders and midfielders and week after week he says they need to sign a new defender or better players.

Apparently Smalling, Jones, Mata, Herrera and Young all have contracts expiring in the summer. Likewise Darmian and Valencia although they have option for extra year.

Martial and De Gea are both going to have an extra year activated but with all of the above it looks like there's still potential for massive changes there.

To be fair I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing for them. IMO they need to get rid of Mourinho and start over again with a new squad. This post-Fergie era collections of mediocre players and individuals has proven under 3 different managers that they're just not good enough. Need to rip off the plaster so to speak IMO

You may be right but what about the players they have spent so much money on ? Lukaku, Pogba, Lindlehof, Fred, Bailly, Sanchez ? Only Lukaku can be considered a real success with Pogba clearly having the ability to be better than he has shown under Maureen.

I thought Martial's contract had already been activated, pretty sure he's out of contract at the end of the season too

Like I say, it's about ripping the plaster off. Yes they've spent a lot of money on the players but they're just not working so ultimately it's going to cost them more to keep banging their head against a wall than it is to start again from scratch building a proper team.

For what it's worth I don't even think Lukaku has been a success. Massively overrated even when he was at Everton for me. That season where it was between him and Kane for the golden boot was ridiculous how much people were buying into Lukaku over Kane when quite clearly Kane was the better player.
