MEN reporting that Daniel James has agreed personal terms.

Diminutive, tricky and rapid right winger. If he can step up at a higher level he's exactly the sort of player their attack has cried out for. Could be a brilliant signing.

Much better buy that throwing money at Bale, with the situation they are in.

The question now is can OGS be the coach who turns potential into world class players?

My guess is no. I think they will stick with him until Christmas. By then he will have fucked enough for them to fire him and restart the circus.

As someone posted earlier, as long as their top guys remain the same nothing else will change.

They did desperately need options on right wing so should be a good signing.

Lingard has also been doing well on right having been mainly a lefty under Mourinho during that OGS purple patch he was cracking down the right up top with Rashford and Martial.

They still need a right back (although Fosu-Mensah could be developed) and now Herrera is confirmed as leaving some serious surgery in midfield engine room.

And a centre back of course.

Am I missing something?

Try telling that to Woodward as he tries to sell a bang average player on £150K pw to another team... the player will just ride out their contract. Thery can afford the wages but they cannot shift the deadwood.
Already started with Herrera

Same applies to us though. Oh for the days when Stoke or Hull would come and do a supermarket dash and buy 4 of our unwanted players.

It’s a fine balance, some of these players will never get a better contract so just see it out. Arguably that’s the most stand up thing these players should do. It’s not their fault that clubs shell out transfer fees that dwindle to £0.

So who is ultimately to blame for the ridiculous Sanchez situation ? Was it Mourinho who demanded the salary be paid and allowed the Mkhitaryan swap ?. In January Ole said the guy could be revitalised at the club (what with..jump leads ??) February he likened him to "ketchup trapped in a bottle" ...April he issues the guy a 'stern warning' and now we find out the player has been making a film...much to the annoyance of the fans https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9121087/man-utd-fans-alexis-sanchez-movie/

It really does make a mockery of the game when cash strapped fans see their club make such an acqusition and are full of hope only to never see him play and learn he's drawing £500k a week for doing fuck all. There must be two sides to the story but how this current state of affairs can be justified is mind boggling.

Just for a laugh, I found this on the day he signed...

Jose Mourinho commented: “Alexis is one of the best attacking players in the world and he will complete our very young and talented group of attacking players. He will bring his ambition, drive and personality, qualities that make a Manchester United player and a player that makes the team stronger and the supporters proud of their club dimension and prestige.

:X3::whistle:(n) Yeah right....

I genuinely don't understand what happened with Sanchez. He single handedly dragged Arsenal through a couple of seasons, working his nuts off for their cause. He was similarly energetic at Barcelona before. The way he's been at United seems so uncharacteristic.

Listening to Mourhino can be destructive to your motivation.

There's a lot of football in those treetrunk legs. Possible that he's just ran himself into the ground, and has lost that quicksilver edge that made him such a great player.

These are the exact reasons why we shouldnt resign bale unless its under our terms. If we break our structure for him. All these will eventually happen to us. Like arsenal, like manu.

I’d hardly call Herrera deadwood.

He was incredibly important to them under OGS and results started to dip when he was unavailable.

Will be a big loss to them.
