Attacking player who doesn't like the defensive side of the game falling out with Mourinho shocker.

It's one of the reasons Fergie didn't bow to him because he knew he had much to learn before being trusted.

United will probably go and buy another dm to make it work. But it's great that these ego clashes are happening.
Add to the equation how much Mr Moneybags is earning. Big blow to the ego!
Never in doubt shit would happen when they agreed to pay Sanchez that much. Stupidity.

All just to try keep up with their bitter rivals.

They'd have been much smarter to think long-term - get a coach in who can revolutionise things - a bit like what Poch has done with us - although I understand the vast sums of money they rely on probably mean that they can't be patient and need results immediately.

They have become the very thing that they used to criticise Chelsea and City for. Trying to buy their way to success. It's quite humorous really.

Now he's signed Sanchez Mourinho has got either a Pogba problem or a Rashford problem.

Accommodate Pogba with a 3 man midfield and you have to sacrifice another forward player. Assuming Mou plays Sanchez every week that is 4 players for one position (Lingard, Martial, Rashford and Mata).

Creating another attacking place means the 4-2-3-1 problem. Where does Pogba fit into that? We all know he struggles in this formation.

This is going to end with either Pogba or one of Martial or Rashford out the door if you ask me.

From the Guardian:

Jose Mourinho was asked about Paul Pogba’s absence and how long the midfielder will be out, he told BT Sport: :“I don’t know, and honestly I don’t care.”

Taken out of context to be fair. He was basically saying he was focused on today's game and will only care about Pogba after the game has finished.

The Sun going for it against Man U today, must be their turn:

France midfielder Paul Pogba is ready to leave Manchester United if manager Jose Mourinho stays on at Old Trafford. (Sun on Sunday)

Manchester United and Spain goalkeeper David de Gea wants a £350,000-a-week deal to stay at Old Trafford. The 27-year-old earns around £180,000 a week but lags behind Chile forward Alexis Sanchez, who is on £505,000 a week. (Sun on Sunday)

This is the issue and why Man City (rightly) passed on him. The good players will want parity and fair enough. If my colleague is getting 3 times my weekly wage I'd be kicking up a stink!

Maybe the thinking behind not rushing in to meet Toby's supposed 150k per week wage demands.

Just saying. ;)

What is hilarious is I'm seeing plenty of comments from their bemused fans like "I don't understand why we weren't at them from the off" or "these weren't Man United tactics" and so on..... Where have they been for the last 15 years, what did they fucking expect? It's Mourinho. You will get ultra pragmatic and dour football.

He's been around long enough now... It will pick up trophies along the way, but the process getting to the end result isn't pretty to watch. I don't know how they can be surprised about what they are served up.
