well they surprised the pundits 2 years straight by being so poor so why should this year be any different?

I'm just waiting for Lukaku to have a few good games and thinks he's earned his transfer fee and then turn into the lazy **** he proved to be for Everton.

Lukaku will be going for the silver boot again I reckon

Really hope your right, it's only 2 games in but they have looked mighty impressive without even really breaking a sweat. Matic has made such a difference. I think they will miss Lukaku so much if he gets injured though.

As ikky pointed a few posts ago, Yanited have only played last season's 10th and 15th clubs. Let's see how they're doing after 15-20 games, including a few against other teams in the top 6 or so spots.

I agree but it's not the score line that's impressed me it's how they played, compared to last season it's like night and day.

It's the most baffling transfer. How Chelsea could complete the United side with this transfer is beyond me. He's changed them instantly.

Poor decision considering United are a direct rival to the title.

No doubt that United look much stronger now than any time in recent seasons but let's see what happens once Europe, injuries and the occasional rough patch set in. Too early to predict them fantastic just as it would be silly to dismiss them outright because they've been poor over a few seasons.

It seems like Mourinho always does his best work the second season in charge. They are going to be dangerous this year and hopefully fall of next year when the squad gets tired of his authoritarian personality.

Apparently Marcus Rashford is as good as Mbappe and Dembele now, according to Phil Neville.

He doesn't half come out with some absolute nonsense.

In fairness you could probably say that about most managers. They've had time to implement their ideas, assess the squad, get more players they want etc. Not sure it's particularly a "classic Mourinho" trait, more just common sense.

Exactly. Poch had us looking much better second season. Pep seems to have got his ideas well integrated at city. Unfortunately we live in a world where not many get that second season, therefore you don't find out most of the time.

I thought Rashford would become a top pro but the more I watch him the less I'm convinced. Too early to tell but I just don't weeny.

Honestly I think he's a very special player, concidering he's not really getting the chance to play where he should. Only turning 20 next month if he was our own we would rightly be wanking ourselves silly, Jose though will be of absolutely no help to his development.

Don't wish that injury on anyone. Felliani gets a lot of guff, but think he's a decent footballer. Just more function over style. Him being injured will hurt United, no doubt about it.
