So the Sky Sports reporter on the phone to Jamie Redknapp says..." so, if they go for Pochettino, what will they be getting."

Me hoping..." Told to f*ck off."

Personally I would walk over hot coals to get Thomas Tuchel. I'm surprised Ancellotti is not in the mix

They're saying the caretaker will be someone steeped in the traditions of the club... So I've just gone down the bookies and stuck fifty quid on Howard Webb.

I get the impression that appointing a caretaker til the end of the season makes it likely that Poch will be their number 1 target come the summer.
Then the arrogance of Man United will come into full effect, hopefully to no avail.

Bit of a shame they got rid of the humble guy with a quiet personal known as Jose. Thought their season was ticking along quite nicely.

I often hear that football is an entertainment business, I have to agree, they've made me feckin chuckle for most parts this season. (y)

Shocking attitude from Pogba posting pics all over instagram at adidas a day after their Liverpool defeat.

I don't think Mourinho managed him properly but I think his attitude also stinks and would say he has only performed to best of his ability for 20% of his games Manchester United (and that's being generous).

Think they need to cut their losses with him, looks like Fergie knew this when he didn't make massive efforts to keep him before.

I wonder whether his sacking will quell Toby to United saga.
Well, its not like sacking Mourinho solves their back line problems. It may mean that United do not do any business in January, but I would imagine they will look at Toby again in the summer, if he is still available for £25M

Reminds me of when England sacked Capello

Yep. Everyone was certain it was Redknapp, it massively destabilised is because Redknapp wanted the England job so wouldn’t say no.

Fortunately Poch isn’t Redknapp but he does have an ego that he likes massaged.

Hopefully Levy has learnt from that previous fiasco.

Interesting to see if Levy slaps on the lippy and flutters his eyelids at poch with a couple signing in Jan now.

Hugh leverage for poch to get what he wants.

Poch would be an idiot not to use this to his advantage. I think he wants to stay with us but he loves Ferguson. That’s the only problem.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Such an inane question anyway. They know Poch well enough to draw their own conclusions on what Poch would do for united.
