You really have to wonder what United are doing. They only signed Dalot 12 months ago who was supposedly the best young right-back in europe?!?

AWB is proven in prem though so probably less of a risk.

Is Dalot any good as didn’t get much of a look in although always tougher for someone coming from abroad who is quite young to adapt.

It's not going to work out, still needs nurturing, nowhere near ready, Utd the most toxic place to go to for young players these days. Don't have the leaders or the structure to nurture young players.

I wish I shared some of your optimism sometimes lol.

If he is costing 50 million how much are they paying him in wages ? 150k per week ? More ? The Transfer cost is ridiculous but what they must be doing to their wage structure is plain crazy.

Lol at some of the posts in here saying what a gamble this is. People were spunking themselves senseless at the idea of us signing him this summer.

It’s a good signing for them, they’ve clearly got a strategy for going for young British players and if OGS can rid the squad of the egos like Sanchez and Pogba he might start to make a bit of headway.

Now they have one more defensively minded RB to go with their attacking one. Quite a nice couple.

Read that he went from 10k at CP to 80-90 at Utd.

Fine if you’ve got a squad that needs tweaking and not completely overhauling.

I've been trying to follow Utd fan stuff recently and RB is the one they've wanted to upgrade the most. Desperate to replace Young.

Have I got this right or wrong in thinking that Solsjaer is trying to re-create the Fergie era and if so he is missing the point and that is the fact that most of his first team came thru there youth system off the top of my head Beckham/Scholes /G.Neville/P. Neville plus others whose names I cannot recall but the point is you cannot re-create that togetherness by buying in talent.
Also if there were any bad eggs I.E. boozers like Mc Grath and others they were soon unloaded the difference now is to unload the likes of Sanches would cost so much money that all I can say is "best of luck"

Imagine Fergie as a ventriloquist and OGS is sitting on his knee....I have the suspicion that Sir Alex is simply using OGS as his puppet and is never very far away from discussions about team selection and transfers...could be wrong but just cannot see the wily old fox letting go completely and the club needs his experienced input more than ever at the moment.

Saw today their share price has dropped from £21 to £14 in a year and wiped £1bn off valuation. Wonder how nervous that makes the banks they still owe.

New deal for Rashford until 2023 with option for a further year, worth roughly £250k a week. Up to £300k including bonuses.

Mental.
