I dont wanna hear we are n17, we are n17 anymore, if the majority of spurs fans were to sit down and actually analyze the situation we are in then there would be no real anger against a move away from white hart lane.

The facts are:

The transport links in tottenham are shocking with 36000 fans, with any increase near 60000 fans the area would be crippled.

The area is an absolute dump, im from tottenham and the amount of money needed to regenerate the area would go into billions.

David Lammy MP wants spurs to invest heavily into tottenham but at what cost.

A lot of fans are saying they wouldnt go to stratford to support spurs, well are they really spurs fans? I would travel anywhere to watch spurs because they are in my blood.
I work near stratford and so much money has gone into the area that it is simply amazing, and spurs will demolish that crappy bowl of cement and build a super stadium, with the best transport links in europe.

Will i miss the lane? of course so many fond memories.

However times change and its time to move on.

I like the way you gave yourself a round of applause:duh:

chavland ha ha ha u crack me up, imo u are living in the past, whether u like it or not we will move from the lane. so why dont u embrace it, learn to live with it.
its degenerates like you that hold this great club back, we need to move to a bigger stadium fact.

tottenham as a borough has nothing to offer in terms of a new potential site, there are poor transport links and the area is in need of regeneration.

as arry would say its a no brainer

I was intending keeping out of this, as my views are pretty well known.

But calling people degenerates is a bit much?

We all have differing opinions on what the future of our club should hold, but I'm entirely convinced that people who want to build a new stadium in Tottenham don't do so because they want to "hold this great club back".

I have, or at least I think I have, been more than wlling to encourage debate from the other side of the fence without saying to people "you're holding this club back", or "you're not proper fans".

I'd at least think the same should be given in return.

[I'll probably not post again in this thread btw, because I don't believe that anyone who is pro moving (Stratford or elsewhere) will be convinced by any response I can post in here that I haven't already said in other threads, but I might come back if people persist in calling other fans out for being on the other side of the debate]

cos I can not get a ticket in the current stadium  what's so funny?

It's not hard to get a ticket in the current stadium, if you become a member you can get a ticket to any game you want as long as you do it when they first go on sale.

Unbelievable comments, N17 a dump blah blah blah we should move.

Lets remember THFC is an institutions a club WHL is our home has been for 125/6 years we are Tottenham from the Lane! Lets not be disrespectful because we've had one season in the CL we have roots in Tottenham.

I would love us to stay, build and for the surrounding areas to follow suite and develop along...it may sound like a fairy tale but that's what I'd like to see for the borough to be proud that he never ran away.

I do appreciate the need to expand commercial success money blah blah blah business.

And when I get lucky I go, but its not often. Still doesn't change the fact that most fans travel beyond a fair walking distance to the ground and use public transport and that the transport is poor. It is the limiting factor in the NDP stadium plans. Should we move to an area of better transport links, and get a bigger stadium? Yes

1910, I don't know whether they kicked up a fuss at the time.

Sorry, I know I said I wouldn't post but the limiting factor, as Levy himself has said, for the NDP has nothing to do with transport. He said it is not currently financially viable.

The main reason for this, as far as I can see, is the decrease in the flats between application 1 and application 2.

Our transport financing obligations are between £1.7m (our offer) and £5.6m (TfL's request).

The 234 reduction in flats could be up to £20m in lost contributions to the viability of the project.

I'll try not to comment again

Sorry MattyP, maybe I wasn't clear in my post, I was refering to the limiting size of the stadium at 56000 seats. It was a requirement we dropped it from 60000 to get planning consent. That was due to transport issues.

If you were to become a member you wouldn't need to get lucky, I don't buy this myth that it is hard to get tickets to WHL, you have to be organised and have a little patience, but it honestly isn't hard.

N17 maybe a dump, but it is our dump. I'm still leaning towards the NDP, suffice to say, but that's the kind of degenerate I am.

Moving to Stratford wouldn't end my support of the club, but I would be disappointed, if not surprised.

Why no debate on whether it is worse to be called a chav or a degenerate? The standard of debate on here is falling:whistle:

sorry pal but alot of what you say is bull....

Levy himself has said the transport issue is in place with the NLD.

Yes its a dump, but we go and watch football there, we don't have to live there.Stratford isn't the south of fucking france!

You say you would follow spurs anywhere, anywhere but tottenham:duh:

I travel to games from the Midlands, I don't care for the Tottenham area, to be honest it is an absolute dump, I love our stadium WHL but aslong as the atmosphere is as good in the new stadium then I will be happy. Our pitch is one of the best in the Premier League, hopefully the new pitch will also be as good.

Even the most fervent supporter of the NDP could see that the club's transport strategy was wildly optimistic. All it actually consisted of was a face lift for Tottenham Hale station, and increasing the CPZ to try and get less people to drive.

At the time the plans were released I, along with many others, put these concerns aside because I so wanted the stadium plan to work. It is just pie in the sky though, with 36k the whole area is choked, particularly after the match, with 60k it would be a nightmare.

I often hear "but we used to have 60k coming to WHL in the 1960's and there were no problems". This is totally ignoring the fact that in those days the fan base was mainly made up of people in the local area, who simply walked to and from the game. These days the majority come from outside the M25. This trend is not reversible, and high quality transport links are desperately needed for a stadium project to work long term.

I am suggesting that the club tried to put together the best plan possible given what they have to work with. Everyone knows that it is not enough though.
