I have always been of the camp that thinks ENIC will sell once the stadium was fully realised. The problem now with the stadium built is it doesn't make it as attractive as it once for prospective buyers was given the price it adds to the value. Part of me is proud that ENIC have given us such a wonderful place in football from an infrastructure point of view, but the footballing side has taken a back seat over a few years now, and my interest and that of all our fans is what happens on that green bit for 90 mins.

You do realise that Enic literally own the club right? "Enic out, can't take us to the next level". They aren't Sissoko.
I’m fully aware, thank you. I think that our owners will not take us to the next level on the pitch because of how they run our club. Therefore I stand by what I said. No need for the sarcasm either.

We are the laughing stock once again....Levy has taken a real gamble here and if we fall behind (As we all must expect now) he has to go.... yes it may be a tough market but everyone else has strengthened with min 3 players coming in, look at west ham....
those saying we cant strengthen - I forgot how much we have won the last few years - my fault...
Levy needs to come out with a statement and fast as we now go into the new stadium on a real downer and it was not meant to be that way, albeit knowing levy he probably knew he could get away with it this year as everyone would be on a high with the new stadium.
Levy is a joke for not backing poch and if he walks this year, Levy needs to follow as do Enic, lets hope we can find our oil tycoon.... I don't care anymore I just want to see us winning stuff like we use to

The club is now ready to sell for maximum profit which has appeared to be ENIC’s goal for the last 10 years. They’ve had plenty of opportunities to invest at crucial times to help us win the league and kept their hands in their pockets.

Be brave was Pochettino’s request and Levy responded by buying no one. What an insult. A long list of managers paid with their jobs for Levy’s deadline day mistakes. Poch has made Levy look good and papered up plenty of cracks.

I expect the club to be sold this season.

How does this whole ‘Levy / Enic Out’ thing work then? I mean practically speaking? Does he literally walk out and let Doris take over? Does he give first refusal to @angrymob of SC? Does he put it on eBay with a ‘Buy it Now’ option?

I hope you are right, want Levy and enic out this club - they are a joke!
The stadium must be paid for near enough based on our spending over the last few years.... what message does this send to Poch and the players? No intention on progressing as a team, will be amazed if we don't fall back this year, all top 6 have strengthened bar us.

I'm waiting for the annual Levy statement that comes out discussing the transfer window strategy and the up and coming season....

Also it wouldn't be so bad if we did like Liverpool did with Keita and have an agreement in place for a player like De Ligt or Bailey for next season just so we can see some sort of forward direction.

People keep saying well it is hard to improve the starting 11 but it's not about 11 anymore. The second half against Utd in the cup proved this when we had no ideas or invention to come of the bench to change a big game. I just cannot see how that is going to improve.

I have been a staunch Levy-ite (or BsoDL as I think you call them here) for many years. I think he has worked absolute miracles to take the club from what appeared to be a permanently bad place to mixing it up with the big boys. Leicester had a quick flash in the pan but nobody else has come close to breaking up the old guard on a consistent level without having an oil billionaire cheat their way to the top. This is the most consistent Tottenham side since the early 60s and it was built whilst developing a brand new stadium. It is an absolute miracle that we have come as far as we have and Levy deserves enormous praise, respect and gratitude from EVERYONE amongst our fan base. If you can't see that, you either weren't following Spurs before 2009 or you're completely delusional about the resources and stature the club has compared with our rivals.

However. This transfer window was a fuck up. An undeniable, inexcusable fuck up. Yes we haven't lost anyone, but Levy's performance here was not acceptable. How big a fuck up this is, and how bad the after-effects will be remain to be seen.

Yes, we still have a very strong squad and we haven't lost anyone. But we saw last season that this squad is nowhere near good enough to compete with Man City. Liverpool are likely to overtake us now following the signings they made. Depending on whether the new management at Chelsea and Arsenal can get their act together, we could well drop out of the top four (hopefully Man Utd are set to implode).

Perhaps they'll all be a bit older, wiser, savvier in their play and this time we'll knock out Juventus instead. But after spending so much more on my season ticket this year I'm beyond disappointed today. Levy always used to write those letters to the fans on the club website after the transfer window, I would really like to see what he's got to say this time...

Football isn’t about transfers, your so overly obsessed it’s unhealthy. I swear you guys learn nothing. If here was nobody worth getting I’d rather sign nobody going buy our past attempts at signing filler.

There were plenty worth buying - we didn’t offer market rate

I think that most would find this abit easier to swollow had the ticket prices not gone up so dramatically.

I mean it’s not like we’re going to be paying more for the same thing though is it? The new stadium is almost an entirely different product we’re getting.

Massive fuck up by Levy this window, with new stadium and number of players back from World Cup a couple of decent signings would have been icing on cake and really shown us as contenders, especially as we were said to have had £150 million in war chest (this is before outgoings as well).

On other hand though, if you look at Leeds a few years back they overspent and looked where got them.

If they’d stuck with their promising youth players coming through they may not have occurred the massive debts they did.

So at least we’re stable and have a pretty decent squad, let’s just hope we can keep hold of them and Levy doesn’t continue playing silly buggers around player dealings in future.

This very much! Why do we, as fans think we can demand that ENIC and Levy should go? ENIC will leave when they are god damned ready to leave...On their terms, ie with a huge profit and a huge smile. There is nothing sentimental or nostalgic to them, they are not emotionally vested (despite Teflon saying otherwise). The only way that makes it incredibly hard for them to stay is having an empty ground week after week. So come on lets at least be realistic about this.

How else do you think we improve? Are we the only club that has players that are able to get better with age?

It is absolute arrogance from the board to not invest. If we get off to a slow start this season, the atmosphere is going to be fucking toxic because there will be a clear scapegoat for it all - and it’s the chrome dome gnome.

The excuse for that is already in the bag with the run of away games and the move into the new stadium. That's what we'll get fobbed off with rather than the zero investment policy.

I've long thought ENIC would sell up once the stadium is complete. They've fattened the club up: new stadium, a venue capable of hosting multiple events, NFL tie up with possible franchise opportunities, relatively low wage bill, healthy annual profit. They bought an initial £30m share of THFC back in 2001, and the club is now worth £1.5bn. Kinda makes sense for them to cash in soon, IMO.

Eugh...

Not having a pop at you because I think you have just outlined the reasoning but personally that's everything that disgusts me about modern football.

Isn't the product the football??

Has that been improved??

Do proper supporters really give a shit about the stadium in comparison to what they are watching on the pitch??

For me the real worry is that so many players went through the entire world cup, are knackered/not up to speed with a full pre season. The world cup will hurt us all season long i think as players are playing catch up. undoubtedly the club has been brought forward in leaps and bounds and we do have a shiny new stadium so i guess we shouldn't be too annoyed but the club seem to get fans hopes up about new signings and it just screams naivety not to strengthen especially in central midfield. Our 3 best central midfielders have ongoing injury issues
