My problem with what he's done, is far less than my problem with what he is going to do.

Arsene Wenger won 3 titles and 7 FA Cups - should Arsenal have kept going with him indefinitely because of what he did?
This argument falls down at the fact that we have finished top 4 for the last 3 years running after not making the top 3 for 25 years prior to that.

Arsenal were on a downward trajectory under Wenger, we are not.

Has anyone seen the response Donna Cullen sent to a fan asking what will happen to the £2,000 spent on his tickets &a travel over on the pretence that the game was going to be the first one played at the new WHL? She needs to go she is an awful human and ambassador for our club
Just saw it. Jesus. That cannot be real. What’s wrong with you, Donna? Show some empathy at the very least!

I vaguely seem to remember other email responses from here in the past to fans that were a bit snappy as well. Might be misremembering though.

I almost don't believe that it is real...that seems way too outrageous

The idea of them selling up is a bit terrifying to be honest. Would either be to a billionnaire who treats us as a play thing, turning us into a soulless vacuous club, making me feel a hypocrite for mocking my Chelsea supporting mates all these years, or being bought by an American individual/company. An American individual/company who would have to pay a billion pounds plus of their money or loaned money. They wouldn't be doing it as a treat they'd want that back. The only way to do that is by running an even tighter ship than the one we are in, all we'd be doing as a club is pretty much moving our debt from one place to another and doubling it in the process.

Levy and Enic have done many great things, I've never wanted them gone even though the transfer policy drives me mad at times. Better the devil you know and all. It would be such a shame that just as we get into a position where they can do what the fans want most, reinvest some of the increased revenue back into the team they sell up.

Talk about Levy's legacy, that's no legacy to leave the club with. It would make them look like the investment company that they try to pretend they're not.

They've never pretended they are not an investment company. See levys interview with garth crooks he says that the club is always for sale and that the "i" in enic is for investment.

That from the head of our pr team that knows it will be splashed over the internet? Can't see it. You never know though.

Maybe it's a case of me not being able to see the wood for the trees.
It's so obvious all of this, the stadium, the training ground, linking with NFL is to set us up for them to sell but I just hang on to hope that it was instead to set us up to progress as a football club and team under them. The alternatives leave me with a horrible feeling.

I agree. Think it's pretty much bullshit or the other messages in the sequence give it proper context. The guy didn't want to release those messages (because they were worse apparently) and another dude was questioning them in the replies. It smells a bit funny to me

There still has to be a buyer that matches their valuation which there hasn't been so far. After the stadium the best way to make the club more valuable is by winning stuff.

You can still love the club but lose interest in it if you're being taken for a ride. I don't agree with what you said, losing interest because your team takes the outright mick out of you doesn't warrant telling another Spurs fan to go support that lot up the road.
Think this is an age thing. I love the club and it’s history. But I must admit I’m wavering. If it wasn’t for the new stadium I wouldn’t have renewed after 30 years of going. It’s not the players. I think Poch is fabulous, whilst he’s here. I just don’t like the impersonal disconnect between the club and fans. Personally I don’t like the way Levy runs the club. I certainly don’t like his treatment of Poch. Let’s not kid ourselves. He’s well and truly shafted him and I suspect we’ll see the implication of that at the end of the season.

Overaction? Perhaps. But I don’t think I’m alone.

Not knocking your view just interested really. How do you think levy compares to sugar or scholar?

well that and the fact that Levy isnt our manager. and owns about 25% of the club.

No fan should ever utter these words.

Go support that lot up the road. Their stadium is finished and they have shiney new signings. Should satisfy you.

I know what that poster feels.. Years back we were continuously being beaten by United. I came to a point where i couldn't bare to watch our games against that lot out of sheer dejection.

Anyhow AVB was now in charge and we were playing United. I was at a resort with my family and chose to watch a rugby game with some rugby guys instead. My kids came running to tell me we were winning and ran to another venue to watch the game... Nonetheless we went on to WIN for the 1st time in like forever. So this poster has the right. He loves his team it just pure dejection i suppose.

Stop being a pompous plonker. I will always support Tottenham. But I am entitled to be pissed off once in a while

You are always entitled to be pissed off mate, but I think if you make posts like you did on an Internet forum you are going to get some pretty barbed replies. It's a shame that those replies weren't a bit more compassionate themselves, but still you've gotta expect some backlash.

Saying things like "No ambition in the transfer market" and "Fucked up the stadium" are myopic views (imo) that don't really reflect the reality of the situation or the reality of how life works.

It sounds like you and I are probably a similar age and have been supporting the club for the same amount of time so I can empathise with where you're coming from. No point attacking other Spurs fans though. You said something because you were pissed off with the club, you got a reply from somebody who is pissed off at posts like yours. It's tit for tat.

In 6 months time we will be in the new stadium (hopefully!!) and there will have been a bunch of features on Sky and BBC about how great it is and how Spurs are on an upward trend. We will be doing well in the Prem and looking forward to the CL knockout stages. All these little niggles will be in the past and on their way to being forgotten. So let's not blow up at each other and make this the season when Spurs fans turned fully toxic.

I won't remember you in a year due to abuse of brain cells in my younger years.

I'll remember this chat though. When we finish 7th
