You are always entitled to be pissed off mate, but I think if you make posts like you did on an Internet forum you are going to get some pretty barbed replies. It's a shame that those replies weren't a bit more compassionate themselves, but still you've gotta expect some backlash.

Saying things like "No ambition in the transfer market" and "Fucked up the stadium" are myopic views (imo) that don't really reflect the reality of the situation or the reality of how life works.

It sounds like you and I are probably a similar age and have been supporting the club for the same amount of time so I can empathise with where you're coming from. No point attacking other Spurs fans though. You said something because you were pissed off with the club, you got a reply from somebody who is pissed off at posts like yours. It's tit for tat.

In 6 months time we will be in the new stadium (hopefully!!) and there will have been a bunch of features on Sky and BBC about how great it is and how Spurs are on an upward trend. We will be doing well in the Prem and looking forward to the CL knockout stages. All these little niggles will be in the past and on their way to being forgotten. So let's not blow up at each other and make this the season when Spurs fans turned fully toxic.
Myopic if taken individually put together, my admittedly infantile rants, show a pattern of taking the club's fanbase for granted. This is not a spurs specific issue but more football generally.

Maybe I should have said losing interest in football generally and western capitalist society. The squeeze every penny out of everyone as possible approach.

My idealistic view is that football clubs should not be run for profit solely. Any profits should be invested back into improving the team and the fans experience.

The go support arsenal line is purposely inflammatory and I thought my response pretty restrained.

Why? Hate going to Wembley. My dad has mobility issues and I've been going with him since 1981 and Wembley is a major problem for him to get to.

So I'd like the money back. Not a credit.

I noticed this in another thread, thought it might be of interest.

Reece said:
Hang on? You guys got the Fulham game refunded to you in sterling? How did you do that I’m sure I didn’t see an email about that... only that it would come off next year’s season ticket??

Call the ticket hotline, they did mine without fuss.

Shouldn't really be having to call to get your own money back, but hey ho.

Ah it makes a welcome change, Coops, after all the antagonism we witnessed from both "sides" during the transfer window. Hope you're really well, mate! Your wit and humour were much missed my friend.

I hate seeing our members tearing the heck out of eachother, especially when it's mostly over things that we literally have no control over, or can affect in any way whatsoever.

And thank you for your kind words, John. All as good as can be, but as long as your family and yourself are all well, nothing else really matters, buddy.

Of late its either been a case of lack of communication or excuses. Heard this morning there have been strong concerns that the stadium was going to be delayed for a while. Imagine that news coming out prior to us signing nobody all Summer.

Well played the Spurs PR department.

I'm sure all will be well in the end but yes the past week has been a bit embarrassing.

It's a shambles at the moment and I'm afraid about whats happening with my club and whether it's lost sight of what's important, they should thank their lucky stars we have a manager we all stand behind and who is incredible professional along with a team who plays with passion because any other set of manager and players and the backlash would be much more venomous.

I really hope that this is a darkest before the dawn scenario and we come out of this difficult few months and fulfil most importantly on the pitch but also off of it.

I’d imagine it was a lot easier to get Pochettino to sign that contract with the faux promises on signings and stadium Imagine trying to get him to sign it this morning ?

We really need to be winning on the pitch.

No signings, stadium delay and poor results will be too much for some people.

this whole episode will really show us what poch and our team is made of. Great teams feel like it is them vs the world and with all this adversity it really must feel like that at spurs. The people saying that we cannot win and that we are embarrassing could be just the driving force we need to actually achieve something tangible -a trophy.

As long as we keep hold of all our better players over the next couple of weeks I agree. If not even I'll be jumping on the Levy out campaign, and up until three months ago I have been all for him staying around as long as possible.

No.

Just don't believe everything coming out of the club atm is factual, and not all just smoke and mirrors.

In what sense?

Not much coming out really - other than that we don't have money to spend and the stadium is late - which is all pretty negative.

Sadly I think this shambles is the last year with this group of players. I hope we can turn it round and win the title somehow.

They've never pretended they are not an investment company. See levys interview with garth crooks he says that the club is always for sale and that the "i" in enic is for investment.
That's not entirely true though is it Lilbaz. ENIC has consistently sold us the fairy tale that the whole reason they had undertaken this massive capital project was to put us on an equal footing with the elite clubs; that once the stadium build was complete we'd be able to complete with the money-doped clubs, as the significantly augmented match day revenue could then be invested in the squad. But it seems ENIC are actively looking for buyers now and aim to sell as soon as the stadium is built. We, the football club, might not reap the benefits of that increased revenue for years to come as we find ourselves shacked with debt and hamstrung in the transfer market. Just like the Scum, we see this team disintegrate. This would prove unequivocally, what many of us have always suspected: that ENIC/Levy were only ever in it for the money.

To be fair the club deserve this embarrassment for the lack of communication on both the stadium and lack of signings. Hopefully they will pull their socks up now their image has been tarnished.

Few bad results on the pitch and it could go very pear shaped. What should have been a glorious time for the club, could turn into an absolute disaster. Don’t underestimate how a bad vibe or disappointment with club staff can filter down to players. I’d imagine there’s a lot of very upset people in the club right now at all levels. When things aren’t right within a club it very quickly transfers onto the pitch as seen with Chelsea Arsenal West Ham last season.

Surely he would not entertain that idea of selling off our better players to get some cash in otherwise the stadium may come down a lot quicker than it went up with those disgruntled fans.
