It's only a friendly though, it should be a window for tying a few different things out. He probably wont play anyway, and if he's been dropped from Arsenal's squad for a rest period, then what's the point of being called up by Germany?

Yea true, I feel for Lewis as we rushed him here in Jan last year and he hasn't been given a run of games in the team. And now shipped out on loan when he should be playing for us imo. He must be gutted inside as well as he could have been playing for Schalke in the CL instead of a relegation battle at Fulham.

holtby said something like "i survived magath so i can survive anything" a few years ago so i guess magath is being petty and will cost his team as a result. looking on a fulham board, their fans are livid - well, as livid as a fulham fan can be.

What the fuck he is not starting today. We send him on loan to fulham and he doesn't even get to start.

This season makes me want to slit my wrists

Wish he'd chosen Southampton instead. I spose the relegation battle will mean Fulham will be at full tilt until the end of the season though whereas Soton don't have much to play for. Feel sorry for the guy though, pretty sure he signed up to play under Meulensteen

People moan about the lack of character and general lazyness of our players but i would rather have Holtby running around and giving a shit than some of our lot ambling back into position.
I do know Holtby has faults before someone picks me up on this.

A travesty that he wad dropped, but i can see the dense in it. All fulham did was hoofing it up to bent and dempsey. It was like wimbledon in the 90s. Meulensteen actually tried to play football, an our lewis is beter suited to that game. When he came on, he worked hard, and demanded the ball a lot. A breath of fresh air if i ever saw one.

Sorry for typos. Writing on this piece of crap is like jacking it with boxing gloves.

Starting alongside Sidwell in a flat 4-4-2. This could end badly..

He'll outclass the Cardiff midfield.

Edit: Saying that, it's unsurprisingly a very tight affair. Holtby is finding himself in a lot of tight corners with little space to work. Bit of a catch 22 in that team, if he moves in to space, his team mates probably won't have the ability or nouse to find him, and if he goes to the ball, as he's doing, he gets closed down very quickly...

Still can't see for the life of me why we loaned him out.

There's a lot of things of things I can't see at Spurs at the moment, though.

Ah, I think it's because

He's too old
He's not good enough
He doesn't know the language
We have better players in his position
He wasn't playing well this season
We need to use defensive players instead as we're scoring enough

Hmm.. :shifty:

Ah, Tim didn't know him well enough! (y)
