Didnt wtch the game, but looked on whoscored and saw he only completed 40% of his passes which didnt seem too flattering, then I saw the team stats...How many busses did they park to only have 26% possession and 55% pass accuracy? 5? 10? No wonder why Holtby only completed 40% of his passes.

could've been worse. their right back only managed 13% :wideyed:

Was his debut his best game for us? If I remember right he did well, or at least got stuck in a fair bit.

Holtby got an assist today, had a poor first half but better in the second. He's just been subbed with Hamburg 1-2 down. Piazon scored a Ronaldo esq free kick in the 90th minute for Frankfurt to win it.

Honestly with the view to a perm for me he isnt one of ours imo and for me i am totally over that. He had talent,he might have suited the pressing style of Poch but his attitude may be lovely to watch but I am sick of it.

Always telling in all possible ways how he is loving a club and how about a dream of him come true blabla. Fact is he looks for a door out as soon as he isnt first choice anymore. Could have stayed and fight for his spot... what are the odds that he is kissing the hamburg badge after his first goal?

You might be right, but to be honest I think it's pretty genius. Robbie Keane might have been publicly mocked for always saying it's my dream to play for XYZ, but when you take this sort of approach and make an effort with the fans, the fans get behind and give you more support. This also means you get a bit more slack during your bad games and the fans are less likely to get on your back, plus when you look back at the end of your career people will probably like you from all the clubs you've been at, as opposed to say a Robbie Savage

Watched Hamburg's game against Leverkusen today. He didn't really see much of the ball as they mostly bus parked their way to a 1-0 win.

Difference is Holtby is still on our official site and hasn't been officially announced by us or Hamburg as far as I can see.

similar to when people were mocking the os for not announcing vertonghen's "new contract" :giggle:
