He has apparently healed extremely quickly from his injury, and had to be ruled out by the club's physio not to make their game tomorrow. That he's even in full training within two months of such a fracture is frankly rather stunning.

Lewis came on us sub in Hamburg's last 2 games. They are 3rd bottom.

  • The bottom two finishers in the Bundesliga are automatically relegated to the 2. Bundesliga, with the top two finishers in the 2. Bundesliga taking their place.
  • The third-from-bottom club in the Bundesliga will play a two-legged match with the third-place team from the 2. Bundesliga, with the winner taking up the final place in the following season's Bundesliga.
Dunno how relegation would affect the predicted full transfer.

So what you're saying is, the club are trying to get rid of Wolverine

I think they're going to be relegated. They have been beyond shitty the last month in particular. Coach fired, a "technical director" temporarily at the helm, no cohesion whatsoever. Really, really poor team.

May have missed it, but does anyone know what the current status is re Holtby? Did the permanent transfer to Hamburg happen in January or is he still a Spurs player on loan to Hamburg?

Nothing official has been offered, but according to German media it's been finalized, and the Hamburg fans speak as if it's been done (lot of discussion atm for whether he'll stay or not with the likely descent).

I really can't see why Poch hasn't given him a chance? He seems to be a player that could suit his system. But if it's done let it be announced and move on.

Edit- Translation:

I will stay here and I don't want to relegate this year! And yes i'm working my ass off, you have to visit our training everyday, you will see! I'm only a human as you! Once I played well but i don't know, i was injured and try to give my best!

Yeh , here's the article , forget the main headline track down to the bottom and click on the Holtby link . What's interesting is his passionate delivery...very Holtby , one can only admire his attitude .

Holtby love is amusing. 3 managers have blanked him.
Peanah all over again. Take the prof and move on.

Proof? What proof?

AVB bought him, and even pigeonholed him just to try to get him in the side.

Sherwood used him in a 4-4-2 central pairing with Eriksen, and then not again. That's like playing with a plastic toy in a fire and declaring that the toy sucks.

Poch used him extensively in preseason, but understandably made him no guarantees as far as playing time for the season, especially since he hadn't even had a look at Paulinho or Dembele yet. Hamburg did promise him playing time, so he made a move. That's hardly "blanking" him.

So I'm sorry mate, I see no proof whatsoever.

I thought that we had too many midfielders and so needed to loan or sell. Holtby, unlike some, had suitors, he was also eager to play unlike some who would sit on the bench and just rake in the cash and that's why he was shipped out rather than not being rated. I'm getting old so my memory might be letting me down here though.

He wrote 'prof', not proof - short for profit.

As for the video, he's shown he's just the type of character we need in the squad. As someone said, we need more Holtby's than Paulinho's. He's shown he's got a bit about him - a bit of spunk and fight. I honestly think that's one of the biggest things we lack - players who collectively fight for the cause. I've seen too many Tottenham teams filled with a group of yoghurts .

Well, as it was three days ago and he's not corrected me despite being on here plenty since then, who knows. I've personally never seen that shorthand before, and assumed it was a typo considering he only needed two more letters to complete the word.

But @prawnsandwich, my bad if you did in fact mean "profit."

Sorry I did not notice this conversation. Prof is short for profit.
I try to keep my typos down to a minimum.
