I've just listened to the press conference and when he says

"As things stand, I will leave #Schalke in summer. But in football you never know"

he says as if to say, I'm leaving Schalke in the summer but until then we don't know what could happen, as in, he could still win something with Schalke before he leaves :)

I'm very much looking forward to his arrival and I'm sure he is a very good player, but how does he fit in to our team? Will he start next to sandro in midfield or will he be back up to Dembele? Or are we moving towards 3 in midfield next season?

think it's pretty obvious that's the plan with AVB in charge

Please explain how you got a video of him having a pee!

It seems to me that he is saying that one day he might return?
Probably after a few Prem League, FA Cup & CL winners medals with Spurs and aged about 34?

Obviously he has further ambitions than us I don't think that is bad thing.

Hopefully Holtby will bring one of Schalke's chants with him to Tottenham

Perhaps if we dont get Moutinho before window closes we could go to Schalke and pay them a couple of million to take hi now instead of in the summer for free.Maybe thats what he means

They were so close with that chant....if only they'd sung

"Who the fuckin hell are arsenal" etc it would have been legendary

When he says you never know in football he doesn't necessarily mean anything else, he probably just means that.

Holtby: "Tottenham is not a small club. They have top players, top fans, an insanely good coach in Andre Villas-Boas and are third in the Premier League"

Reminds me of Jan before he signed. He's saying all the right things.

Yeah have always thought that's the way we would line up next season.

It seems that they are doing a lot of work with Lennon. He seems to be having more shots and cutting in more. He is certainly getting into more scoring positions. Perhaps they are preparing him for playing in a forward 3.

I love him already. Now, THAT is how to endear yourself to a new club.

Ah, this article is interesting. It says about how he met with AVB and then that's when he was convinced to play for Tottenham which some people already know. But, he also met with Podolski, Mertesacker and Marin who also convinced him to play in London. Looks like 2 of Spurs' rival club's players have just done them a big favour! :)
