Fekir with a 'worldy'...so to speak. Good strike and all but Mandanda is better than that. My usual stream is on fookin ski jumping instead of this game so I'm on a somewhat dodgy stream and this fog ain't helpin...

Just finished watching it. Not a classic, Lyon got a goal up and then basically shelled the rest of the game, and I remain very unimpressed by Genesio, who seems to have no over arching philosophy, his teams seem to play in phases. Lyon were defensively pretty good today, but Marseille were also a bot toothless.

Have to say Aouar was pretty quiet today, and NDombele was probably Lyon's best player, I was really impressed with him today, strong, positionally good, clever feet and played out of trouble well. If I could take both these tomorrow, I would.

Have to admit that my dodgy stream had me focusing a little more on the Barca game as i could actually see it. Of what I could see I made a mental note of being happy that they showed the ability to shut a team down. Don't know if you saw the Amiens game but they were all over Lyon in the first half and should have been home and hosed by halftime.

NDombele can carry and pass the ball from the 6 (not Busquets-like but you get my point) so no complaints from me. Who would have thunk it that we would miss Big Vic's passing from CM. When you are missing Wanyama's passing things are not going great. Winks has gone full Scott Parker. He didn't even check to see if he had space or could turn yesterday. Just dump the ball to the first man in sight, always backwards or sideways.

What's your take on Kondogbia? He's showing more in Valencia than he did at Inter.

And it's good to see TFC handle their business this weekend. :troll: One whole point above the zone. Strasbourg is surprising this season however. Not seen them play but they did beat PSG and now the mighty Le Tefece.

I really liked Kondogbia when he was coming through and thought he had real potential to have a great career, not the first player to lose his mojo in Italy, I don't watch much Spanish football, but I'm pleased to see he's playing again and once again seems to be playing a role in his club playing well, as he did for Monaco.

Ndombele’s only on loan at Lyon, they have the option to buy, so would actually be gettable in a similar way to how we got Toby

Went over to watch them, thinking of buying house over there... they're fairly shit..

Rennes aren't to bad, seem to produce some good kids (eg Dembele - Barca via Dortmund) and it doesn't really matter if they aren't great, you get to see all the other teams as well, PSG, Lyon, Marseille, Monaco etc and atmosphere is much better at French football grounds - even the smaller clubs - than English grounds.

Lyon have a blinding crop of youngsters right now. If I had my way we'd make them our feeder club, like Liverpool have with Southampton.

Mendy is really impressing me lately at LB. Good physique, Strong, quick, but technically good too and his end product is pretty promising.

I keep oscillating between which player I'd take first, NDombele or Aouar, I think right now I'd take Ndombele, he's been outstanding last few games, where Aouar's gone a bot quiet, but that's possibly because that twit Genesio has been playing him as an ALM. Either way, I'd happily take both. Very different, but complimentary players, Ndombele (more of a 6) is bigger, stronger, gets stuck in, but technically excellent and can move forwards with the ball, Aouar (more of an 8) is more slender, neater, tidier, better in forward areas, but will also work off the ball.

Tousart has merits, good footballing busy **** who holds the midfield together. And Cornet is your typical wide attacker, pace, a trick and can do good things but a bit erratic too.

So what happened with N'Jie with us, not given a chance or unsuited to the PL. Just looked him up and he has 6 goals and 2 assists in 7 starts and 5 sub appearances, that's not half bad

@RichieS
I can read the TR section but am banned from posting. If you have a look at the beginning of this thread I flagged Malcom up at the start of the season as catching the eye in his first few games. My feeling on him now, having seen bits and bobs over half a season is that he is definitely a lively fucker with good feet, but I still haven't seen enough to know if he's the real deal or another Boufal type (a player who looks great on youtube reels, but watch him over 90 minutes and he's less impressive). I think he's probably a bit more productive and consistent than Boufal, works a bit harder too.

And for the record (@jonathanhotspur ) Trippier is better than Walker - but only in the opponents half, not ours.
