It's like some sort of mass hypnosis. A good friend of mine is a Liverpool fan and he's 100% supportive of both Kenny and Suarez.

Any discussion I have with him about them usually ends with him saying that the situation is a media hate campaign, and that I'm just falling for the negative publicity :lol:

He's even posted a picture on facebook that he claims shows Evra withdrawing his hand as Suarez goes to shake it! I mean...for fucks sake. A still photograph that shows fuck all is supposed to provide more evidence than actual footage that conclusively shows Suarez being a **** as per usual?

They're becoming a complete joke, and have collectively handled the situation just about as badly as is physically possible. In fact the only charcter to come out of this with any dignity is the Anfield cat, and I bet even he is a closet BNP member.

They are awful. I used to have some time for them, but speaking to a few of them recently (and reading forums like RAWK), has made me see them in a different light. I've got to say I think they are most bitter, deluded and generally awful set of fans going. The out right jealousy of clubs such as ours and Arsenal is comical, but the attitude towards Suarez really takes the biscuit.

Also, what is with comments like "I guess Suarez has to walk alone"? Seriously, how gay is that comment? I'm blaming police cut backs, more policemen would mean less break-ins and less scourers with computers.

I know it shouldn't matter what other fans think but I well up with pride at how almost every fans bar Liverpool ones (including Arsenal fans) think we are playing the best football in the league, we are wonderful to watch etc.

If we were in the situation LFC are in and the club I supported was just a joke to everyone else and myself, I don't think I could handle it. I think i'd support Leyton Orient. Yet Liverpool fans glory in their delusions.

I think most football fans are realists, we all moan about our clubs in various ways, be it transfers, tactics, managers etc. Most of us realise that we can do absolutely nothing about it. Many of us admit that we were wrong about certain decisions (The transfers of Parker, Friedal and probably Saha spring to mind).

The Scousers did used to have winning teams that they could shout about, they just have still to come to terms with no longer being the best. It's just takng them longer than most. :wink:

For me, the irony is that when the allegations of a racial slur from Suarez to Evra first came to light, Liverpool could have killed it stone dead right there and then by issuing a statement along the lines of 'Suarez is deeply embarrassed that his remarks caused offense, and that LFC would ensure that their players were made fully aware of the conduct expected of their players etc, etc'

But instead, for whatever ill conceived reason, they decided to use this situation to instill some kind of siege mentality, and it has backfired massively.

It's sad, but incredible funny at the same time.

Louis is the victim in this. Slandered to death by the whole country , on zero evidence. I have never understood this belief that loserpool personified all that was great about English Football, always found watching them to be an antidote to sleep deprivation. Barring the odd game theirs was all about strangling the game, removing the pace and the excitement. It's no coincidence to me that their dominance ended with the outlawing of the back pass.

The game is better off without their drab version of it.

They've all become so accustomed to the smell of their own bullshit. It's gone too far now. This is yrs worth of damage. Maybe not too much in terms of sponsorship in the short term (half a decade out of the CL should see to that) but in the football world their image has been tarnished. It will take a decade at least and a complete turnaround in their fuckwittery as a club and fanbase to rectify it.
