Taping the game; I've learnt that more often than not we play better against the bigger teams when I avoid watching it live. If that's my role in the universe, I'll accept it heroically.

They always turning against the top 6 at their place, and we never turn up against the top 6 away from home.

So for that reason we will win 6-0.

Poch must know that we need to sit in and break with pace. They are a good side but they cannot defend. West Brom cut them to shreds last week and we are far more suited to that game style. It is a huge game and we simply have got to perform.

We’ve finished above Liverpool 7/8 out of seasons. There’s absolutely no excuse not to go there and win. Richer club ? I’d say our net spends are comparable since Klopp came in. You really can’t put Liverpool in same bracket as United and city. We’ve proved we can destroy this team at home. We’ve proved we can go to top European teams and win. If we again fail today there’s obviously an issue which can only be psychological and unfortunately shows the “spursy” tag still exists. Listen if we play a good game and get beat then fair enough. But so far this season we didn’t turn up City NLD or OT. If that happens again in that manner it’s unacceptable imo.

Last season we simply did not turn up in the 1st half and by then the game was over. The CBs and the CMs have to be aware that Liverpool will swarm at them. If anything, we should look to play longer to Kane first 20 minutes and press them in their third, bypassing our passing game from CBs > CMs.

They're richer, they considerably pay higer wages than us.

So there's no excuse whatsoever for not winning this match and if we don't win it's a mental issue yet..

Listen if we play a good game and get beat then fair enough.

As long as we play well it's ok.

There’s no excuse- as in “they are richer” “we have a terrible record” .

Imo there’s s big difference between playing well fighting and losing and not turning up. You could conceivable lose by the same score line. But I want to to see some fight and aggression today. It feels like the 3 big away games this season we’ve been timid and rolled over.

Win and we go 3rd and think match points total after same number of games as last season

No, we'll still be 2 points behind last year's total. Last season our 26th league match was home to Stoke and we won, 4-0, giving us 53 points.

We're presently 11 points behind our results last season against the same opposition. Winning today would reduce that to 8.

We will really really need our front men to make the right decisions and be clinical today. We will get situations in which we can punish them but if we dont make that final ball, that right choice or put it in the net then we will lose.
Against united we moved the ball very vert well and created chances at ease but our decisions and finishing was awful.

Quite frankly for each of the last three years this has felt like a bellweather match.

In the last two, maybe winning it would have meant the title, this year not losing it keeps a good chance of the top four and keeping this team together.

We need to play smart and be brave. Weather the early pressing storm, grow into the game, and get the crowd grumbly and nervous.

It’s not rocket science, but Man City showed it’s bloody hard to do too. COYS.

Draw away from home to rivals.
It's not a game plan, this one could go any which way,
just a 'consummation devoutly to be desired'
Ya don't argue with Bill the Bard.

As President of the 'Take a draw now 'Society
I would take a draw now.
It's tactical y'see.

I reckon Sissoko will start and this thread will immediately become unbearable.
