Match: Premier league - Round 26

When: Sunday 4th February 2018 4:30pm

Where: Anfield

Referee: Jon Moss

Team Form: Liverpool WWLLW Spurs WWDDW

Spurs have not done the league double over Liverpool since 2010/11, with Harry Rednapp's side beating Roy Hodgson and Kenny Dalglish. The last time Liverpool lost both league games to us with the same manager was 1986/87 (Dalglish)

Klopp has lost just one of his 6 encounters in all competitions with us as a manager (W2 D3 L1), this defeat came in the reverse fixture this season at Wembley 4 - 1.

Harry Kane has had a hand in 6 goals in 6 Premier League appearances against Liverpool (4 goals 2 assists) .

Both teams are on form so its should be a close but entertaining game. If we win we will jump above both Liverpool and Chelsea into 3rd. At least for 24 hrs as Chelsea plays on Monday.

Tough game but winnable. Just depends which Spurs team turns up. The one that sank Manure or the team that capitulated to City. Mentality innit.

Bit worried about this one to be honest, we never do well at their place.
I hope for the 1st 20 mins we don’t play out from the back as much as we usually do as this plays right into their hands

They will be sprinting out of blocks today. They will press us high like last season . We cannot afford to concede early on as this plays directly into their game plan. We need to get 1st goal or hold out for 70 mins + to stand any chance of getting anything from this game.

If Dembele and Dier boss the midfield we will win handsomely.

But we need Eriksen, Son and Kane to have their shooting boots on.

Jon Moss as ref? Bumbling idiot.

That being said, I think we will win this comfortably, got a really good feeling that we are going to turn up and put on a hell of a performance.

Going 3-1 to us, brace from Kane and a goal from Son.

Need to be strong mentally and put in a disciplined performance playing on the counter.

Keeping them relatively quiet for the first 20 minutes or so will be key.

We do that and we can win but Anfield is incredibly tough and the ref invariably folds to the pressure with those borderline calls.

Optimistically, I'll go for 1-1. Kane for us, Mané for them.

So do I mate, honestly, he is utterly useless as a ref and a complete coward, will 100% be in favour of the home side because he doesn’t have the balls to do his job right.

This is one of those games I just don't want to watch. I'm going to be so fucking devastated if we don't win or even draw.

I'm expecting a lot of 'tumbling' from the Liverpool players and Mane to be a dirty little shit again.

I hate this tie. Especially at Anfield. I hope Dembele is fit. We need him in the team. Hope Kane has his shooting boots on today.

Nervous...they will be up for this game.

Acid test today. If we don’t perform today especially after Wednesday where we were imperious it’s a mental issue. Unless Poch does something ridiculous selection or tactically. If Poch picks best team with reasonable tactics and we still don’t perform there’s definitely an underlying issue away to top 6. Which would be bizarre considering Dortmund and Madrid this season.
