I am not sure how I feel about this game.

This cup is at the bottom of our priorities, but at the same time I would really like us to stuff Liverpool at Anfield.
As I think our second string is better than theirs, I really fancy our chances, but at the same time it is a bit "meh", considering it is the Leage Cup (I still call it that).

I think our first domestic defeat is looming ...
Yes it certainly looks like we might see a defeat here seeing as both sides will rotate a bit, but liverpool are having no trouble scoring and we are.
That said Im not too dissapointed if we go out as i would rather go further in the CL plus come May finish fourth again and qualify for champions league again.

My prediction:

  1. Liverpool go up 3-0 on jammy penalties
  2. We get 5 disallowed goals and 4 ungiven clear penalty decisions
  3. Level it up 3-3 at full time
  4. Nkoudou gets the winner in extra time :)))
  5. Liverpool complain about a wrongly given throw-in in the 5th minute
  6. Spam RAWK and Twitter calling us jammy fuckers and saying the ref robbed them of the game
  7. Sky Sports spend 2 hours analysising this throw-in and eventually decide that this is the only possible reason the almighty Liverpool was beaten.
  8. Liverpool fans bring up league wins 30 years ago to say they're better than Spurs whenever the match is brought up in conversation.

Will pool even rotate their squad? Surely they don't need any rest not being in Europe? I think they will have a near full strength team.

It would be unbearable to watch them win the Premier League, I think I would finally give up on football.

It wouldn't bother me to much if they knocked a second string Spurs out tonight and then go on to win it, because we all know winning the league cup in February kills your season (y)

You forgot the bit about the FA voting themselves retrospective powers to order games replayed due to miscarriages of justice until Pool win.

Unfortunately I can't see any positive outcome to this match, other than maybe a few of the youngsters getting more minutes.
We don't play well when we face an opponent that plays our game.
Our passing is all over the place when teams close us down.
It happened against Liverpool the first time around and it happened against Bournemouth on Saturday.
They will be in our faces right from the off.
Prediction: 2-0 or 3-0 defeat

Still wondering whether I want to bother watching or not. I like watching all our games where possible but it feels like it is well down on the priority list and Liverpool already want it more. Is it just the feeling picked up from looking on here?

No way they're putting out a second string side.
They'll be as good as full strength tonight as they only have domestic competition.
