Not sure how to call this one yet: can anyone let me know if Bassong will still be suspended for the Liverpool game?

Too close to call this one.

Many were over confident for the Man City game but we seem a bit more cautious for this one.

Just hope Vertonghen can play.

I think it'll come down to which goal keeper or defence fucks up the most when both teams try and piss ball about at the back when boxed in.
Does my head in. You can see a mistake coming. The other team don't have to carve a defense open because everyone ballses it up themselves. I guarantee Liverpool will look their most dangerous and most likely to score when we've got the fkin ball in and around our goal area because we just will not clear the fkin thing when we need to.
Everyone does it these days not just us and Liverpool. Forgotten how to defend.
Edit. I know we've a great defensive record lately but I reckon if you watched back all the goals we've conceded in last 3 years a big chunk will be our own doing. There's a few goals every week in PL like this that shouldn't happen.
Edit. Case and point- see Derby defender chest it onto post last night instead of just putting it out. Jeezus christ  we must try to keep the ball no matter how insanely fkin suicidal that may be. If we ship 3 goals trying to keep possession it'll be worth it o_O
When in doubt...give it a clout huh?
Sunday League shit right there.

Milner is guaranteed to get away with a hack or two. Really really want to win this one!

The bin dippers have had all week to prepare for this one on the back of a disappointing defeat at Hull and every man and his dog in the media having a pop at them. They will be extra motivated to shove one down everyone's throats, so this isn't going to be easy. I expect them to come out of the trap like a rabid dog, and if we can contain for first 30 minutes then I believe it could be ours for the taking

The other game of the season (along with Stamford Bridge) where I sit slumped in my seat for 90 mins whilst playing with my phone knowing whether we score first or not there is a very good chance of defeat.

Even if things are looking peachy at Anfield all of sudden our players turn retarded and start passing balls back from the halfway line in Walker's case, or Bentaleb turns into the most creative midfielder for Liverpool or our centre half comes on the pitch as a sub and then the next moment mis-controls the ball straight to Suarez.

Also Liverpool love this fixture...probably due to the above but also because they know Coutinho will turn up and be unplayable and even if their out of form striker comes on the pitch for one minute the likelihood is they score the winner.

To be fair the more type the more I find myself getting closer to the knife rack.

I will take a point now!

Depends if our team turn up like they do on occasions (Chelsea and City, but both at home)
We can beat any team in the league and should have that ethos when we go on the pitch, not the "We only have to turn up" attitude that I had hoped we'd gotten rid of.
Play as well as we can and we'll win but I'm not always sure we will, (aka away to City in the first half, lately)

If we had Jan and Rose available, I'd go for a win. Without them, and with Liverpool probably coming out like rabid, stray, bin-dipping dogs after their recent results, I'm feeling particularly pessimistic. I'm afraid we'll have to open up and chase this game at some point, and that's going to be our undoing.

I'm really not happy about it, but I'm going into this thinking of something like 3-2.

I think it will be very tough as Liverpool have a lot to prove.
Not too confident without Vertonghen and Rose, but if we can keep them quiet for the first 20 minutes I think we can get a result.

I'd take a draw now to be honest.

If we score first I think we'll win, if they score first I think we'll lose.
