I understand where he is coming from even if it's a little OTT.
If we'd have won the FA Cup but missed out on top 4 this club would not be able to go out and bring in the players that we need to. I imagine every single one of our players realise how important CL football is to this club and should we not achieve that then it'd have such a huge impact for us. He probably senses some players would be agitating for a move away too. So it means a great deal to this club.

I don't like the fact that CL football means more that the domestic trophies but the fact of the matter is that it does. Doesn't mean to say that we should dismiss them though, we need to build a squad/club that is capable of qualifying for CL AND winning domestic honours. I just think Lloris/Poch, etc believe that prioritising the CL will take this club on much further than an odd FA Cup win would, etc.

Yeah, I suppose it would be nice if they followed it up with a ".....but we need to win a trophy soon" line.
