It's a really big season for Pritchard. He's the sort of player that teams like us and this country need to get more out of.

Energetic, mobile and technically gifted players who seem to thrive when established on the continent but struggle to adapt to the premier league when breaking through after being schooled in this country.

It doesn't appear to be a problem for players like mata, Modric, silva et al when they move to our league but we don't seem to produce them from our own clubs.

Maybe our academies don't help them make the most of their abilities due to the premier league's obsession of power and pace.

He's one to be watched though. Easy on the eye and strikes a lovely ball. Make a name for yourself son.

Pretty pointless to go on loan to be a sub, as two of these were. Is Archer really going to be second choice at a div 2 club?

I think that it's still a good learning experience for outfield players. Young players have to force their way in to starting elevens. It doesn't matter who you play for, you have to earn the right to play.
