The question is not 'who would you be happy to lose to?' it's 'who could you handle a defeat to?'. I'm sure many expect a loss at the Emirates, whereas we should win the other two. A logical brain would choose Arsenal. I absolutely hate all 3, so can't choose.

why is it easier to handle a loss to your biggest historical rivals than anyone else?
Their fans are people you work with, socialise with and are related to ...... how under any circumstances is that easier to handle, unless of course as I said you dont live in North London.

I could certainly handle losing to west ham and Chelsea, who mean zip to me if that meant beating Arsenal

Arsenal....reason is they will finish top 4, 0points against Spammers n chavs means we keep them away from the top 4.

This doesn't mean I like losing to Arsenal, as I would want to win all 3. Just would be happy in the long run to finish top 4

I'm not related to any Arsenal fans because I come from a true COYS family. I live in South East London, so I still know plenty of Arsenal fans. As I said, I wouldn't choose between the three, but pragmatically, we are more likely to beat the other two and 6 points would massively ease the discomfort of losing to those wankers. Also, we'll then just give them a solid beating at WHL.

........ sounds to me like people are just getting their ' it makes me feel better' excuses in well in advance.

it will hurt me like hell if we lose Sunday and all those Arsenal fans I know certainly know it and they will rip the piss big time
and of course they also know the opposite is true if we win - thats exactly how the NLD should be.

I understand but I guess I just cant be pragmatic about a NLD.
Its been such a huge part of my life over many years that this rivalry will always outweigh any ability to apply pragmatism

Not getting any excuses in. I think we can beat Arsenal, but we needed to pick one team to lose too, so I picked Arsenal for the reasons I mentioned. As I said I don't see why we can't win all 3 and would be passed off if we do lose any.

if we get a point at Arsenal, I dont see us getting beat by either of the other two.
Our confidence will be that high I truly see us going on a roll if that happens.
That said, on balance I really dont see us getting anything at the Emirates they have too many attacking weapons for us to deal with over 90 mins - hope to god I am wrong

West Ham all day long in this instance.

I hate Arsenal and Chelsea. West Ham come below Liverpool in terms of dislike for me.

I'd deal with a defeat v Woolwich, although I'd be heavily disappointed.

Chelsea and Wham though, that's different. Too many Chelsea fans I know, especially one tosser who comes into my shop on a daily basis to spout shit about how Mourinho will turn it around and how they will still finish ahead of us. He even wears a Chelsea ring and got a priest to fucking bless this thing the other day!!

My step uncle is a massive massive Chelsea fan too and he is like a bull when they lose. Should have seen him after the 5-3 last season.

And West Ham, they are just a bunch of pikeys. I cant stand them as a club or their scummy fans.

I have two uncles who support the Wanderers but I know they wouldn't be as upset with a defeat against us as they would be v Chelsea.

Bingo. So swap your experience of working with arsenal fans etc to working with west ham or Chelsea fans...

Ive never had an arsenal fan call m a jewish **** or make songs about concentration camps. I see them as a family/middle class club that we happen to have a local rivalry with. Again, its all about the experiences we as fans have with other clubs fans. I know Chelsea arsenal west ham fans who describe our fans as horrible knuckle draggers who live on past achievements.

The one I really don't want to lose to has to be Chelsea - a win over them would be absolutely massive and put us so far ahead of them.

Can't lose to Arsenal again this season no way, if we get some points off Arsenal and West Ham I guess I could take losing to the chavs because we'd still be above them by at least 6 points whist closing the gap on Arsenal.

Can't believe anyone would pick any other option than the pikeys!? They're just a tin pot club who we don't care about.

Which makes it even more embarrassing when they beat us..

Most Spurs fans like Spurs more than they dislike Arsenal

It is a historical rivalry, but perhaps you're too young to remember the days when fans of both clubs would go to watch the other when their team was playing away. For a day out, get away from the missus etc. Until relatively recently it's been quite a parochial rivalry really.

Whereas our more recent rivalry with Chelsea is built on hate. Racial hate in their case. So that might not have the history but it burns quite brightly for some people, even those who live in North London. I guess the West Ham thing is more regional, if you live along the North/East London border then you're more likely to hate West Ham than most?

Voted arsenal. Fuck the rivalry, i think it would be best to kill chelsea and stay above west ham.
I will get abuse from a lot of mates but i can live with that if we get top 4.

I hate west ham more than i hate arsenal aswell.
What are you?

Wenger : Hector Bellerin out of Sunday game & Koscielny has a small chance to play

Arse not able to play Koschielny would be great news. He is very decent and also scores crucial goals from corners.
Ofcourse , their front 4 of Sanchez, Ozil, Cazorla & Giroud are dynamic.

This is a great chance for us to win at Emirates with a full strength squad.
