Has anybody flown to Southend airport, or live near there or just know any advice on how to get from there to white hart lane on match days?

Also any descent hotels near?

I live nearby.

Its a fairly simple drive from there about an hour away. And its a seaside town so there are plenty of hotels mate

Guessing that you're flying in and therefore don't have a car available except hiring.

New Southend Airport train station is less than 1hr direct from Liv St and then 15m to WHL. Plenty of hotels at Liv St (this is asked commonly on SC so do a search but I recommend the IBIS in Aldgate) and as Ryan says in Southend as it's a seaside town

Never been to Southend but they apparently have good 'shed of the week' rallies on the sea front :)

Stobarts bought the airport and have gone all comercial. gonna be good for quick weekends away, but gonna play havoc with the already mental traffic on the A127

Thought Southend was quite a distance from London, then I guess so is Stansted

Just jump on the train at the new station, straight into liv st, then either go to northumberland park or whl...super easy

The A127 is now going to be a car park. The incoming flights fly over my house, so bloody annoying.

It already is a car park. hats why I stopped playing football @ chase.

I play in the Bas Vegas league only now

Or jump off at Stratford and head up to Northumberland Park. There's a few new hotels popped up around stratford city now. Saves the aggro of getting in and out of Liv St aswell. Plus you get a nice view of the Olympic Park.

Cheers for the help. Anyone know what sort of prices the train would be?

Nah it's £18 from Chelmsford??

I reckon if you budgeted £25 you'd be safe
