I know that the euros are in France but I think it's really unfair that ROI have only been given 5k tickets in an 80k seater stadium.

Just came up short, gallant effort throughout the tournament from the boys in green, thoroughly proud, but that decision where the ball spanked the french player and deflected about 3 miles off goal really has to be highlighted, theres no way the ref/officials didnt see that and for me some of the decisions against us has soured the tournament for me. Cheese eating surrender monkeys.

Good effort, the French were just better in the end.

I'd like to replay the second goal just to find out how much earlier the non-corner that was clearly a corner was. Certainly something to complain about.

Gutted.

Played amazingly well to get where we did and three shitty minutes fucked it for us.

Nailed on red to be fair and our race was run then.

Looking back when we were 1 up we could have had and probably deserved a second goal.

Ref bottled a couple of decisions as well, you could see him considering putting the whistle to his mouth before the crowd noise forced him to not to.

France will probably get carried through to the last 4 by their crowd as I don't think my England or Iceland are good enough to get passed them.

Gutted both sides are out, did incredibly well, both sets of fans unreal too. Hopefully they can crack on and qualify for the Word Cup now.

Amazing tournament for the North and South of Ireland - very proud of both teams and extremely proud of our fans who have been an absolute credit to our island.

About that ...

Norn Iron have Germany, Czech Rep. and Norway who will put up a fight (Azerbaijan and San Marino there too), so a much harder group than the Euro group. Plus only group winners go through and second place into play-offs, so it's Germany and then one from three for the play-offs, which will be brutal.

The Republic have Wales, Austria, Serbia, Moldova and Georgia, which is promising in the sense that there is no clear favourite but it'll be four teams fighting tooth and nail for the two top spots. Could go any which way.

Yeah forgot how tough the groups were, that will be a nightmare.

It just reaffirms my believe that the current coefficient system is a farce.

I'm not saying the Republic are lacking big names but the squad's just been announced and once again my first stop is google to see who some of them are...

So the wife said we'd be doing something today for my 40th. Went to bed last night and found my Ireland jersey and a half and half Ireland/Austria scarf waiting for me. Sat at Standsted now. COYBIG!
