Tottenham join Southampton, Burnley and Brighton in race for Bolton's Luca Connell with club set to watch starlet face Reading in the Championship
By Joe Bernstein for MailOnline

Tottenham are among the clubs who will be watching 17-year-old Bolton midfielder Luca Connell against Reading in the Championship on Tuesday.

Connell, who made an assist on his first senior start against Bristol City in the FA Cup on Friday, has only six months left on his contract.

As a result Bolton may be pressed to sell this week because of their worrying financial situation.

I saw a tweet in the youth thread about him that sounded positive so I'm all in on this one.

Yep. If were not gonna sign established players, which we're obviously not, let's get in some talented kids at least.
Happy with that strategy at this moment in time.

all joking aside then if the club feels he has the talent then it could be a bargain - Bolton are strapped and wont want to lose him for nothing in the summer - wouldnt cost a lot - why not? better to do it now rather than after a successful year in the championship when people want £20m for him (which the likes of Leicester will probably pay)

Yeah I fail to see the downside of this deal.

Are Skysports going to bother sending a man to the gate outside the training ground tomorrow?

Teenager with one appearance in the Championship and six months left on his contract? Sounds like he'd be out of our price range tbh.
