Why did Chelsea buy this guy? Another buy that they had no intent on playing to stop anyone else improving or am I too cynical?

No db1 you are spot on with your comment. Fair Play just goes out the window where Citeh, Chelski and Man Ure are concerned.

Chelski would never sell him or anyone else to us, we would be hard pushed to recruit their tea lady ! We should go all out and try to sign Bony. IMO a lot better option.

In no scenario is bony a better option.. I honestly don't get the bony love... He's another player who's come to the prem and had 1 decent season... We would end up buying him for him to flop more than a magikarp ....

I also don't see Lukaku wanting to go out on loan again he's already said how he feels the last what ? Season and a half this will be the icing for him and he won't want a Chelsea return.
It's just bs they have this kid a soon to be world beater and they are turning their noses up at him ...

Surely it's not just me but Torres over Lukaku? I think Maureen has lost it....

strange that we are hearing this now... i would think if they wanted him on loan, they would have ask for him during the deal for Costa, and maybe pay less of his salary.

personally, i really like him, strong player in the box to win headers and fight for balls in the air. But i agree, don't see chelsea selling him to us, but a season long loan could be possible.

No, but i think you only got half the equation right. It's as much about FFP as anything else. Buy young and cheapish, loan out so someone else pays the wages while also developing their player, sell off at a profit. De Bruyne is the evidence for this strategy.

They've taken a talent out of the market, made profit without depleting their squad, which effectively strengthens their squad because of FFP requirements. Plus they've then sold the talent into a different league, reducing their competition at home.

Am I being too cynical? I could go on.

What sort of appearance and win bonuses were avoided by using this strategy? Do you reckon Chelsea inserted a bigger sell on if DeBruyne's next move is back to the EPL?

I am cynical... but I'm not sure Chelsea deserve any less. Anyway, in summary, Chelsea are scum of the highest order.

I'm not paying much attention to this. The whole story from the Express has been yanked out of the spanish tabloids who are even worse than our papers for making stuff up.

I can't see any realistic scenario when Chelsea loan out Lukaku AGAIN! Mourinho is said to not rate the player and is happy for him to be sold and Atletico could certainly afford to buy him if they wanted to.

I'm hopeful that we can still make this happen despite our frosty relations with those shit shufflers, but not expecting anything.
