Aren't the Corsican clubs regularly in trouble for crowd violence? Feel like that's something I've read before.

They probably got tips from watching the Besiktas game and wanted to try and one-up the Turks.

Why would you attack the players?

I think this goes back to the Lyon Bastia home game when Bastia had a couple of players sent off I think. Bastia fans are fucking fruit loops who don't need much to set them off (being French, being black, beating their team etc), throw into the mix that many Corsicans feel about France the way the Basque's feel about Spain, it wasn't that long ago that Corsican nationalists were planting bombs under French targets - I think it was only 6/7 years ago they announced a "ceasefire".

They are now fighting the immigrants.

Bit stupid going there after her dad had requested the death penalty for FNLC prisoners.

One of my favourite places Corsica, been there many times, gorgeous beaches. Fascinating history to the place, always been a dark side to it though and their mafia used the have tentacles round the globe, a bit like Sicilians.
